Is it all worth it?
Just got my adult kids together for a family meal, with me and their step Dad......sort of pre the one on the day one!(as they are with their father at that time)
What a waste of time!
Took me 3 hours in total, the eldest had already eaten, and just wanted to run off to her boyfriends house.
The middle one, ate all , but never spoke once!
The youngest, at least she appreciated it!!
Just sounding off really.......
but sometimes I wonder.........
is it all worth it???
Nope... not just you!
Hence the reason I'm going away for Christmas this year! :bounce:
Love my family but I can't bear it again! :giggle:
I'm personally dreading the sat after boxing day when we all go to my mums for a family get together :scared:
Every single year there is a massive arguement over nothing  sibling rivalry I'm afraid. My two sisters are constantly competing for attention & to be better than everyone else. They even go out & buy the most expensive outfit to look better than everyone else. For me, I wear my jeans & keep out of it. Its not nice for the kids though or for my mum who goes out of her way to make a lovely meal. Oh my, I'm getting thoughs horrible butterflies in my stomach now
Glad its once a year
awhh sorry you have crappy experiences.
i love christmas, we have been without much of a family till now so really enjoy the fact our families are now growing and we can gve our kids the christmas's we never had.
(when i say we/our im referring me to and my sister)
no rows, just laughter and memories. work hard all year and love everyone getting together.

Christmas to me means one thing my daughter will be back from africa ........ so looking forward to seeing her and my son , i am a non practiscing budhist so dont celebrate in the normal way but with a few give and takes...but i have 2 nieces to spoil rotten well it is chrimbo.
