Fancy Dress!! some inspiration please!

Ok all you lovely people who've done the themed munch costumes and have creative minds....I need help here!!
I'm meant to be going to my mates 30th birthday on Saturday (vanilla) and the theme is 'Movies & Stars' :shock:
I havent got the cash to hire......I want something sexy (bearing in mind I'm a size 18/20 now so long skirt/trousers would be preferable.........and its being held in a Miners Welfare :shock: and I dont want to give anyone a heart attack! redface

Mae West was 1 - but I hate wigs and I'm dark not blonde..... but I'm sure someone can come up with something better than that for me?!! worship

before i actually read through i was full of ideas as i spent 2 hours in a fancy dress shop on friday....
off the top of my head get a photo of the queen make a mask of it - go stark naked and tell everyone your a stamp - so lick here !!! redface

May sound a bit dull but it IS a vanilla occasion, so how about red lingerie under a black outfit topped by a black cloak with a red lining? Eager Logic :grin:

Pebbs - Van Helsing looks good - chances of getting my ass into trousers/ catsuit or anything else that figure-hugging by Saturday are less than nil though! rolleyes

, but good suggestion! I seem to have gone a bit blank as to 'movies'.....
Rams - again, good suggestion - but its a catsuit! The only suit I'll be doing by saturday is a sumo fat suit a la Fern Britton's Ryvita Mini's advert! :twisted: - no movie theme there though.....

Fiona from Shrek 2 sounds good to me, does that involve lots of green face paint?
I have very fond memories of two mates of mine dressed up as Tank Girl and Lara Croft, but that doesn't really fit your long skirt/trousers criterion.

How about a Nun's outfit - couple it with a metre rule and go as the Penguin from the Blues Brothers. It's long, black and doesn't involve wearing a wig, only a wimple.

How about Zena Warrior Princess. A friend of mine who was largish at the time did that one and I had some wicked snogs with her, the outfit really did it for me!!!
(How shallow that a bit of fabric and a plastic sword can give me the horn! Mind you I was at a 'red carpet' party on Saturday and went in a cream linen suit and red bow tie and had my choice of girls!!!)

What about a circus ringmaster/mistress ... they wear those black trousers with a red jacket with long tails and a top hat .. or a medieval wench .. they were always buxom and cuddly ... made the most of their ample assets biggrin

Agggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh - further to phone-chat with said mate this afternoon, Cruella is also being done by someone else mad

so, now I'm really stuck!!
Its gonna have to be something simple and easy like Morticia, given the amount of Halloween stuff available at the mo - Fiona from Shrek is also dooable cos I can get hold of mucho green face paint too......... but, if anyone has any last minute flashes of brilliance, feel free to suggest!! it has to be 'movies' themedthough!! wink
