I was wondering (as I do) about the photo ads and I would like to pose a question to those of you who do use the adverts section. I think it's partly inspired by DarkFires fantasy thread.
There are quite a few categories available now in the photo ads section and thankfully 'Fetishes' now has it's own catergory. drinkies

However when reading the adverts in the Fetishes section you can't help but notice how many of them are actually just fantasies - not fetishes at all.
Do you think a 'Fantasies' section would be a good idea? People - male, female, couples whatever - could post a fantasy that they want to carry out. Others could look for those with similar fantasies and maybe even meet up! lol

I think it would be a good idea personally. Just a thought.

If you read the men seeking women ads most of them are fantasies as well. biggrin

I think there is a problem with having an increasing number of categories to post ads in. People will post similar ads in several places and searching would become harder as you will have to search several catagories.
Somewhere there is a happy medium between enough categories so that you don't have to trawl through loads of ads your not interested in and so many categories you don't know where to look.

I tried the direct approach in the forum itself Kiss, and ...not a sausage for my effort :lol:
So although a complete non-believer in the ads section, I'm afraid that may well be what I'm reduced to in order to play out the fantasy for real.
The problem with having a fantasies section, as is the same with a fantasies thread - most people like them for what they are - just fantasies - and (a) would never admit them in public and (b) never actually do them because thinking about it and playing it over in your mind is enough - doing it for real could spoil the whole thing wink

Think that would be good idea we are very much into fantasy and role play but find that other cpls on here (or a good number of them) are just after the regular type of meet up!! sad

Think its great in a relationship if you can explore and act out fantasies etc as it keeps things interesting and adds a great level of excitment to your love life if both of you get something out of it.
Now where's the marmite and gimp masks lol

I think it was a combination of your thread and repeatedly reading fantasies and not fetishes in the Fetishes section that made me wonder about this.
Personally I have found that I've had most of my 'success' from the adverts section.
I do think that there are people that realy do want to fulfil certain fantasies and people like me that get a great thrill from making them reality (for free of course :lol smile

The thing is, if somebody posted a long-winded fantasy in the adverts section, it has a good chance of being deleted and the poster being told that it's better off in the stories section.
Maybe I underestimate how difficult it is for some people to talk about their fantasies. I'm into BDSM where negotiation is vital, so I have no qualms talking about my desires. Just not in the Cafe, as I wouldn't want to upset anyone. :lol:
I don't know how hard it would be for Admin to include a fantasy section - even on a trial basis perhaps?
And Darkfire, for research purposes, please feel free to PM me and share your fantasy. innocent

I honestly don't read the adverts much anymore in their own right, I maybe have a quick glance if I'm checking out someone's profile and they have an ad.
Depends what's in the fantasy too though. Most of the fantasies would most likely hide under the fetish/bdsm branch as it stands I should imagine.
Men in womens clothes = fetish
Beating someone silly with a stick = BDSM
Being dressed in rubber and made to eat dog food out of your very own dish = fetish
Blindfolding an innocent woman and handing the control over to someone else with a group of people at their command = domination and submission = BDSM
Gimp mask and marmite = just plain sick! Marmite! *pukes* Blugh! :huh: Evil stuff and must be banned.
Actually, a separate advert section just for marmite fantasies should be made available, then normal folk who avoid marmite at all costs would be safe from a reading about it! :lol: ;)

Ewww! 500g of the stuff! How long does it take you to get through that amount of the filth? :scared:
It took me about thirty minutes to half eat a triangle of toast with it on once. *shudders*
Maybe that's something I could try in my quest for new adventures... making myself eat marmite. dunno

Ummm at work ? probably about 2 months.
the one at home has also lasted 2 months.. In amongst that I have eaten a 250g Jar of the guinness one as well. redface

we can't seem to go a week now with that disgusting food substance being brought up in a thread, sod banning smoking we should ban that stuff its hazadous and toxic to non users.
I think I have more run of the mill fantasies, but would find it difficult talking about them unless i knew who I was talking to. I have had no joy from the advert section I have done the long, short, witty replies to ads. I did not have my own ad for a while but just put one up again and that would be to play with a couple.
