Just curious as to which brands people smoke and why?
I think it's down to personal preference as I swap between Lambert Gold and Silver depending on how hard I want to smoke.
Regal are OK but can't stand Bensons.....

i quit over 30 years ago, but before i did I tried the old Players navy cut non filter. A powerful fag! The first few puffs were quite satisfying, but by the end of the fag i was in trouble and feeling quite sick.
I tried as many makes as i could and there were a lot more available back then. Some of the Irish brands were very good.

I keep saying that I will give up. No need to list the reasons why because we all know them. To be honest though, I'm just not in the right frame of mind to do it and so I know I will fail. Not because of lack of will power but because I'm not ready to give up, I enjoy it!
Back to your question, Until a few weeks ago i smoked lambert & butler gold, I can't smoke anything stronger, as they give me headaches and make me feel sick. We recently discovered though that you can make your own, not rollies, proper fags, and it works out about half the price of a packet of l&b. They ain't bad either ... Bonus!

also a dirty rotten smoker, n i'm just like you fun, i know i should give up but i just dont want too..i enjoy it, i have got 4 weeks supply of champix in the kitchen drawer n they will probably stay there till they are out of date....tried taking them a few weeks ago, by day 4 the ciggies were beginning to taste a bit rank but dya know what ...ya just get used to the taste lol...by day 8 i was still smoking 20 a day..by day 10 i thought fook this lol....just dont bother, your right unless you are in the right frame of mind you cannot or will not stop smoking..one day perhaps...

I used to smoke Golden Virginia rollups until 18 months ago when I switched to Ecigs - no smoke, no carcinogens and legal to consume anywhere. The first one I tried was pretty rubbish, but doing some research I found that if you make a bigger investment in a better device, then I could just stop smoking pretty much all together, with no effort!
I still have the odd rollup, particularly when I'm drinking, but most of the time I "vape" (as in inhaling the vapour off my Ecig).

I did many times, coughed a mug full off blood all over the pavement one day and the reality check kind of hit home. Didnt give up instantly but the nagging was in my head then and didnt last another 6 months. Now been stopped 10 years but still smoke about 10 ..... 10 a year
Last fags I recall smoking were Red band, cheap I belive and that was why.

My favourite brand is No6 King Size, yes they are extinct and you can't get them anymore so I smoke Embassy No1 but still miss my No6
Sasha's favourite are Sobranne Black Russian or Cocktail but at around a tenner a pack she only gets them when she is a good girl and that is not very often so for the rest of the time its L&B silver, but she really likes to smoke .................................. well yours

Do you smokers realise how much those darn infernal things cost? And they smell bad. And they kill you quicker. And they make the house smell, especially the curtains. And I hate washing curtains, they're right pain. *sigh* Not that any of that would make a jot of difference, I know.
Apparently the new spray thing that's been brought out is pretty effective, if anyone is thinking about quitting. Just saying.
