I'm sat here, feeling a little sick! I am no domestic goddess, but just made a lemon cake and a coffee walnut cake to take to work tomorrow. I think that I may have eaten too much of the mixture!!
So...what's your absolute favourite cake?
AND..is licking the bowl better than the cake itself!!?
Walnut layer cake
I know they're not cakes...but I love my grans cheese scone recipe and make them myself fairly often, I've never tasted ones that are as good!
Umm, for normal cake, anything of the chocolate variety!
Do Clooty Dumplings class as cake? I tried them when I was last in Scotland at the Heather Centre and they are orgasmic! 6,000 calories on one plate but wtf! :inlove:
Mmmmm any kinda cakey buns for me although Im not allowed em now
Layer cake!
Choc Hobnob then cream then Choc fudge brownie then cream then Crinkle crunch then cream then a meringue nest cradling raspberries under a shortbread top Surround the stack with whipped double cream with a hint of whiskey and for the health conscious serve on a bed of lettuce
Battenberg, Carrot, Rock and Christmas!
christmas cake (mix especially) no marzipan or icing though
carrot cake
but ultimate fave has to be cheesecake, fruit though not chocolate or toffee Bleurgh!!!
Mmmmm, cheesecake for me too! :P
I love those mr kipling French Fancies, and blackforest gateaux and hot chocolate fudge cake.
Carrot cake and Battenburg
I love Battenburgh - cos I also love marzipan. But the Battengurgh you get nowadays is small, dry, hardly any jam, bugger all marzipan and the marzipan falls off as soon as you cut a slice. It's by and large rubbish.
I would love to find a really decent and decadent Battenburgh.
Does anyone remember Mr Kipling Country Slices (I think that's the name). Individual little slabs of fruity cake with a sprinkle of fabulous little chunks of sugary stuff. I would love to find a supplier of those delicious crystals to put on my own cakes.
Battenberg wiv proppa marzipan!
Pinnapple upside down cake! :bounce:
Asda's muffins... the ones with jam in the middle & custard! :inlove:
& a feckin big slab o choccy chocolate cake with chocolatty chocolate cream on top! :wanker: ...oh bliss!
Mmmm yeah...
Mr Kiplings French Fancies... I can eat a whole box of those to myself neeee bother!
Also love angel cake, most anything with custard, dime bar cake and last but by no means least...
C H E E S E C A K E mmmmmmmmmmmm
