I'm sat here, feeling a little sick! I am no domestic goddess, but just made a lemon cake and a coffee walnut cake to take to work tomorrow. I think that I may have eaten too much of the mixture!!
So...what's your absolute favourite cake?
AND..is licking the bowl better than the cake itself!!?
christmas cake (no icing or marzipan)
or chocolate fudge cake
or double chocolate muffin
or.......
lol
anything on a woman i can eat off.
done and done lol

Do Clooty Dumplings class as cake? I tried them when I was last in Scotland at the Heather Centre and they are orgasmic! 6,000 calories on one plate but wtf! :inlove:

Now that's creative!! One large serving for me please !! ;)
I love Battenburgh - cos I also love marzipan. But the Battengurgh you get nowadays is small, dry, hardly any jam, bugger all marzipan and the marzipan falls off as soon as you cut a slice. It's by and large rubbish.
I would love to find a really decent and decadent Battenburgh.
Does anyone remember Mr Kipling Country Slices (I think that's the name). Individual little slabs of fruity cake with a sprinkle of fabulous little chunks of sugary stuff. I would love to find a supplier of those delicious crystals to put on my own cakes.

Me too. My Mum has always made her own Xmas cakes so there was always marzipan in the cupboard. I used to go and take a bite until she had a go at me one day. After that I got sneaky and used to cut slices off with a knife so she didn't notice :giggle:
