Whats your fears and why??
(sorta going of on a tangent from the sheddy thing about spiders)
Mine - huge bloody great slithering slimey snakes :scared: with the beady eyes just wanting to strangle or poison you at any minute bolt
The way the world is going could be a fear but i dont see there is much anyone can do about that so why be afraid dunno
I grew up with a family really afraid of spiders (was usefull aminition to get back at those horrid big brother types who had a thing for itching powder in my bed) confused
so whats yours :dunno:
Spiders.
Tan, snakes aren't slimy!
FB - hoping this thread will be picture-free.
Im not scared of any object such as spider or snakes. My only real fears are all emotional ones like loosing those closest to me.
Birds and horses are scary too.
And bridges - high ones over water, particularly

It all started from watching an episode of casuality back in the early 90's
This old bat got a moth stuck in her ear and charlie had to listen to her moaning bout her grandson being a villain while he attempted to get it out
sorry for the story sad
Massive red letters/sentances :scared:

I think I've put this somewhere before, I don't have any fears of the physical sense only mental fears, I fear quite a bit then.
mine like others is Snakes, can't stand the thought of them, can't look at them in magazines, books or on the tv, went to longleat last year and asked the people in the kiosk at pet's corner 3 times would there be snakes out and they assured me NO!!!! in there 10 mins and my worst fear was just around the corner, I am a big woman and I can assure you Linford Christie wouldn't have caught me lol xxx

Ooh I'm exactly the same, but my most fear is spiders. Even seeing the word written down gives me pain down my chest.
I think that's why Im scared of moths, butterflies and especially daddy long legs's (daddy long legses? daddies long leg?) because they're just huge, flying spiders.
I do have a theory about why I'm scared of spiders, but because I've never heard anyone postulate it before, I'm too shy to say it.
Dying alone in a quiet room, and nobody knowing who I was.

Someone recently told me about an occasion where they were sitting at a table in summer. A moth had been flying about during the course of the evening. Then it appeared again, holding on to a huge spider - flew right over the dinner table. :scared:

Gotta say, I'm not in the least scared of moths, but I'd have been scared of what that one could have done. I went all goosebumpy just thinking about it.

Wonders how many spiders crawl into mouths while everyones asleep :giggle: bolt
Thunderstorms :scared:
There's just no way of avoiding them...
I have a problem with heights and can't stand attack you for no reason. As for spiders, I read somewhere that when sleeping we all digest at least 20 a year. Don't know whether that's true or an urban myth.
Snakes I can cope with, handled a few ( and had more than fair share in my mailbox! rolleyes ) but I can't be doing with anything with more than 4 legs
Spiders, those horrid craneflies ( why oh WHY do they always go for my hair???!) wasps, bluebottles and all those horrid creepy crawlies! :scared:
I'm also scared shitless of enclosed spaces and the dark redface
Heights and bridges
Deep water i cant stand up in
Flies, bees ect.

Ponds make me queasy too - the thought of what might be lurking beneath the surface... :scared:
Oooh and those huge spotty fish - are they tiger shark? Whale shark? The ones that look like a double decker bus next to a diver - omg they freak me out good style.
