The last of the Mohicans (Denial Day-Lewis)
Blade Runner
Brotherhood of the Wolf
Kagamusha
Ran
7 Samurai
The list goes on and on…..
The Green Mile was a powerful film, quite moving. Somebody mentioned The Departed.. cracking film with awesome performances (apart from matt damon), especially Jack Nicholson. Thought it was his best since One flew over the cuckoos nest, which is another of my favourites.
Saw Happy Feet with my nephew last week and flippin loved it. Cute beyond belief and very funny at times thanks to Robin Williams. Catch that film.
I enjoyed Shrek - mind you I was almost held down and forced to watch it! Got VERY indignant about the fake scottish accent and got VERY upset when the gingerbread man got his leg cut off. Wasn't placated by the staple either!
Favourite films, ah a long list:
- A tale of two sisters
- 'She's the man' - saw it recently, it honks but it keeps me happy
- The Darkness (Think that's what it's called, russian movie out this year about sci-fi good and evil skit).
- Sympathy of Mr Vengeance
- B'aise Moi - hard to watch and not sure what I thought of it but it was good
- The Pianist
- French movie starring Juliet Binoche - I think it was called 'Vertigo' or something, came out this year or last year, very surreal about someone watching a family and the repercussions, it was very clever.
- The Business
Worst Films:
- 50 First Dates
Best bad film quotes - name the movie:
" Only one species is getting out of this alive"
" I fish! It's what I do"
" You killed mine! Now I'll kill yours!"
Adios Amber
Steve just said that it was okay until the last shot of her on top of the Empire State building... The wind would have blown her straight off... Up till that point it was believable :giggle:
It was a little gory in places :scared:
I watched “The Sixth Sense” on TV again last night. A bloody good film, and very clever, with some genuinely disturbing moments.
