Mamma Mia was set on Skiathos & Skopelos- Mr W went to the former.

Darling Harbour (Sydney) where the opening scene to Mission Impossible 2 was filmed (that funky waterfall thingy).
Little Barford - (near here!) where the axis chemical plant internal scenes were filmed in the original batman film (keaton).
Grand Central Station/WTC/Empire State/etc (NYC) - Too many films to mention!
Probably more, but I can't think of anymore at the moment.

I lived there too... guess you might have seen me, horseshoe, ridge & magnet all were good haunts. Didn't think much of Shiregreen WMC.
Causality is filmed here... my mate's house down the road was used as one of the locations.
Skins, Only Fools and Horses was also filmed around where I live. Its always interesting spotting places you know when you watch it.
Whilst in India a Bollywood film was being made on the beach where I was staying - now that was good fun to watch!! On a night time the stars had a good time in the local clubs - one club looked like a swingers paradise - full of four poster beds with groups of people lounged all over them getting to know one another better
