oh my god, it's just around the corner so must get shopping!
and of course, in no particular order:
my fair lady (well said everyone else!)
philadelphia story
indiana jones and..............anything
o brother where art though
pirates of the caribbean (but only the first one).
accompanied by a bottle of something chilled and fizzy and some nice dark choccy. Bliss.
I must add - In Bruges - dark comedy - hilarious but sad!
I tend to go for the dumb B-Movie type of thing.
Razorback
Tremors
That sort of thing. A big animal eating people. Nice cool
Oh Brother Where Art Thou ( top film, excellent soundtrack )
The Lake House
Black Snake Moan ( though not if the kids are around  )..............and before you ask, no it's NOT RPM's home made porn :giggle:
Amelie
Evan Almighty

One I watched the other night - 10 items Or Less with the excellent Morgan Freeman.
For me has to be Fred Astaire or Margaret Rutherford smile I love TCM as it has loads of old movies on it and even though I am a member of Cineworld and love going to see films, its still the old classics for me on a rainy day lol
For me has to be Fred Astaire or Margaret Rutherford smile quote]
I was brought up on a diet of old black and white musicals. My mum loved them and they are part of my childhood.
I just love the whole, "hey kids lets put the show on right here" thing. I also love the bizarre way novelty acts were introduced into the plots. How many ways could they get Sonja Henney to ice skate or Ester Williams to swim.
I love'm redface confused biggrin :D
Fiddler On The Roof - one of my all time fave movies and I never tire of watching it biggrin
ive watched a great one this afternoon...
The 3 stooges........
It was called " What a great parent.... not"
wink
