I'm really looking forward to it... loved the other two series! Should be good for a giggle and a bit of reminiscing biggrin
Brilliant!!!
Only just discovered Gene Hunt and his cronies very recently smile
Watched series 1 and 2 back to back, and am part way through series 3. Must finish that before the 20th.
Gene is definately the star of the show - some of the things he says have us in stitches. No way could anyone get away with them in a modern show lol
I hope he doesn't put on a stupid Texan accent...

Thats the thing it is a modern / recent show. The writers had to answer to the broadcasters regards the racism, sexism and just about every other ism there is thats in the show. The reply from the writers was this is how policing was back then and they were trying to depict it as stupidity on the part of policing with humour to make us laugh at the way it was done.
Here is probably the best intro to an episode I've seen. I think it was a rip off of Camberwick Green or something like that it had me in stitches. Now thats the correct way of policing.

I'm a fan of the show I love it.
Sorry, what I meant was in a modern policing show, or any other type of tv programme, know it is made recently. smile
Nowhere near as good as life on mars.......
Gene Hunt is an inspiration, someone I look up to.

I do find him oddly attractive redface
Wasn't Quattro a drink at one point?
Oh No Essex!! You admire Gene Hunt?!?! He's a caracature! He is 1970's Jeremy Clarkson as a policeman! I do find him entirely entertaining though, but I can't say I admire him.
Give me Inspector Frost any day!
Gene Hunt and Al Bundy are the two biggest role models I have.

A fact that you should thank your friends for on a daily basis lol
Shame Ashes to Ashes hasn't been as good as Life on Mars so far, maybe the next series will pick up a bit confused

Well, two special ones in particular, each of them bought me a Life On Mars box set for my birthday.
And that was just the start of a memorable weekend!
