Hello our sexy little pals
We're going to be attending our first munch (Bristol) shortly subject to childcare arrangements so can I ask a few questions in all seriousness please confused

:
1/ Does everyone really snog at the door? or can we stick to a hug or handshake if we want to :?:
2/ Clothes for men and women how far do you go in the sexy clothes stakes considering it's a social :?: Is it all bare bums, boots and bondage or just a pretty frock :?:
3/ contributions, is there a sort of accepted amount to put in or no :?:
4/Does anyone want to take us under their wing and show us the ropes so we don't feel like complete idiots on the night :?: and no this is not a pick up, its genuine :!:

Good on you both for getting to this one and good luck with it all ! Not having been to a munch yet, I'm not sure what to expect myself but I can just tell you what I'd personally feel more comfortable with
1/ A hug or peck on the cheek is my usual welcome to any new friend rather than a tongue down the throat job ( save that for later wink

)
2/ I think people can still look sexy in 'ordinary' clothes without drawing too much attention from the normal people ( though what we girls wear UNDER it all beggars belief :twisted smile

3/ No idea :giggle:
4/ I'm sure there will be loads of very good advice and support from the wonderful people in here kiss

3/ contributions, is there a sort of accepted amount to put in or no :?: no.... just give generously .... normally enough to cover costs so that minxy isn't out of pocket is enough... they may well give any left over money to charity....

Of course you're not required to snog anyone to gain entry to a munch, if a handshake's what you're comfortable with, that's fine.

It's like a night out at the pub - if you'd ordinarily turn up to your preferred public watering hole wearing leather/rubber/pvc, then I doubt anyone's going to object strenuously. Having said that, they're not the kind of event to turn up to wearing thigh-high boots and a smile, save that for later wink

It depends - if the munch organiser sends 'round a hat for donations then put in what you're confortable putting in, if they've elected to charge everyone the same, normally quite small amount then they'll probably mention that when sending out PMs with munch details.

I'm not going, otherwise I'd offer, but I'm sure you'll be fine and have lots of fun.

Much has been made over recent months about "hand holding" schemes for newer members/first time munchers. Although I'm not 100% behind the idea, I will make the time to "hand hold" or "walk through the door" or meet in the afternoon before the munch; or just simply stand and chat a while during the Munch in an attempt to put first timers or anyone at ease and reassure them that Munches are not the shagfests that they can sometimes be mistakenly taken for.

Wish you all the best with this. We've been to a social and a munch and enjoyed them both very much although it is nerve-wracking. I'd think that for some less outgoing types It would help to go with someone but I think you'll find you'll have great fun and very quickly forget that it's your first time. That's what happened to us anyway.

No. I will pass a glass around at some point and it's up to you how much you contribute, if at all. Any money left over after I cover my costs will go to charity.

I know a while ago some folks were organising pre and post meet drinks food etc, anyone still doing this? I am thinking about posting up something maybe to do with the sites of Bristol for anyone who is arriving early. Anyone up for that, anyone interested? (live in Bristol that why I am offering)

essex34m is going to be posting about drinks on the Friday evening before the munch in the LMU as quite a few people will be in Bristol from the Friday. As far as I am aware, no-one is organising the pre-munch drinkies on the saturday so feel free to go ahead biggrin

Having been the 'doorman' for a few munches I got the odd peck on the cheek. However these were from mates and no one will expect a snog :) Equally you will find some people sharing them with friends like you would see at any nightclub really. Your limits should be respected at all times, and you wont need to snog anyone unless you both wanted to of course :)

what I ment was I could draw up a thread on things to do in Bristol i.e. Saturday daytime. For example, Ice skating, Bristol zoo, S.S Great Brittan, Clifton suspension bridge, Bristol museum. Sight seeing things :) you get the idea.

saturday afternoon.... you mean there are more interesting things going on that the arsenal vs spurs game that starts at !!! :) i am getting the train from newcastle at 7am so i can be in bristol in time for kick off......so if anyone fancies watching me in pain and torture over an orange juice or two that would be good....

Hmmm How many people get pi$$ed in the afternoon then and dont make it too the main event? known that happen so many time in non swinger events.
For Starters ... Bristol is on the docks so you could book up a boat with one of the ferry companys. That way you get history, swingers, and alcohol :twisted: Mrs tTweeky and I went on a boat trip on Fathers day and when we got off a rave party got on with all thier gear, so they cater for all kinds of things.

At my first ever munch (which was in London) we went bowling in the afternoon, then to a chinese, then on to pub. Worked great smile

I think bowling is one of those wonderful ice breakers, as most of us are useless but still get the odd strike, amazing fluke, or comedy bowl.

Problem is I seem to be naturaly good at this game and I quite like it, makes a change for the being good at it part anyway. The :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil: part of this is that I am fed up with bloody bowling centres being built on every new development and every building that closes. There are now 385 places to bowl in Bristol and 4 places in the surrounding area.
NO MORE BOWLING CENTRES
