Hi Srne
Before November we had been to a couple of socials organised by ourselves - just friends mostly, not open to all.......... more invitation only socials.
We went to our first Munch in November gone. It was Pussygalore's and although we didn’t really know what to expect, we were happy to find lots of people we knew. We had a great night.
Our next experience was at Wigan. NWC's Christmas Munch. This time we really didn’t know what to expect. We barely knew anyone, but of course we had chatted to people in rooms etc, but hadn’t met them face to face.
We had booked a hotel, so that bit was fine.
A couple we did know (Ian and Dawnie) that were going sent us a txt and asked us to join them in the bar for a drink, where we met a few of the people who were going that night (thx u 2 for that). That simple act of friendship made us feel a little easier about the evening. We organised getting a taxi and Dammie and LHBcame with us (lovely people).
And so onto the Munch.
We walked into the hall and received a great welcome from Gingerjolee. She gave us our badges and we headed straight for the bar, got our drinks and found a seat near some of the people we had met that afternoon.
Laff took it all in his stride, but I was in awe all the people who are on the same site as us. I think I was scared because my mouth was open most of the night. Then Fabiocame over and sat with us for a while and relaxed me. He found some friends of ours and after that the evening was fun. I danced with and chatted to a few more people, then before I knew it, it was time for us to get our taxi back to the hotel.
Thanks to all who we met and made us welcome - a little late but we appreciated it and still do.
Were off to our next Munch in February - “North West Munch” - and we cant wait. I have bought the dress!! (this time I’m not going in jeans and a nice top - its PVC all the way) so if anyone is going to this 1 please feel free to come say hello to us.
Ramble, ramble, ramble - sorry if u got bored half way through but I never know when to stop.
