I'm at my wits end! mad We have Flash Player 10 and I keep losing the room with it. I get that message:
"Internet explorere has encountered a problem and needs to close"
Then u click to find more information, and the culprit is this flash player 10.
What's the best version to use?

If the last version worked try that.
Not sure about chatrooms and stuff, but when i flash encode videos for websites they're optimised for flash 8 and above
What's the last version? We did have 10a and had probs with that, so upgraded to 10b and Ive lost the room 3 times in 10 mins now mad :x :x :x :x
Any help greatly appreciated xxxxxxxx
Check to see if you have any other flash based applications open at the same time, if you do then close them and try again. You'll need to look around for a previous release or try a system restore (can't remember where it is as i'm on a mac- think it was start>accessories>system restore and then look back at the restore points to find the previous instance.
The old versions are found here

Always choose to save to hard drive instead of updating directly from windows, then you'll always have a copy if things go tits up
(i always save it so i know what it is, eg would be saved as adbfls9(adobe flash v9).exe- just a simple bit of file house keeping wink )

I've got a feeling its NOT flash that is causing the problem. Four separate people asked me about crashing out of chat last night.
The common link to all four was their ISP. They were all using Virgin Media.
So, may I ask who you are using ?
I'm with Virgin media - so far I've had no problems with chat.
Probably will now like - sod's law rolleyes
our isp is with sky, this has been happening to her for the last 3 or 4 nights,it's fine for about a hr or so,then once she gets the warning up "internet explorer has encountered a problem" she then loses the room about every 20 mins...
we've had this problem before and there's a simple fix but for the life of me i cant remember what it was.

Maybe it was posting some more delicious gallery pics, it might not fix your connection problems but there's no harm in trying :rascal:
