I heard this term a few weeks ago and to be honest almost wet myself laughing. A flexitarian is a person who avoids but occasionally eats meat. Now Im not knocking the choice but do we really need a lable for it??? Especially such a lame one as flexitarian.
How many times have you heard 'Im a vegitarian but i eat fish'? Well now when you hear it you can say 'No, you're a flexitarian!' See if they look baffled.
It's nothing to do with being bendy at all!
OMG lol.
One of the girls in our office is "veggie" but eats steak, lamb, sausages, bacon, chicken and ham - that I can think of lol
Theres NO telling her that actually, she isn't a vegetarian at all rolleyes
*Her*
String up the flexitarians along with the fish-eating vegetarians!
Charlatans!
And, in edit, the bloody "pescatarians" poke I poke their fishy eyes out with a fishing rod. Giving us proper vegetarians a bad name!
I have also seen the term "pescatarian" for those who eat no meat but eat fish.

Just as ridiculous isn't it - I think they're taking the pesc. lol

Just another bunch of people trying to put a label on something that doesn`t need labeling lol
I have another word for them fuckinmoronicatarian

They are the same as me an "omnivore" no need for a new word, daft as a brush
People allways tend to feel the need to label them selves and put them selves in boxes to claim a sense of identity, well thats just my opinion anyways.
On a side note, there is a lad in my unit who is a vegetarian. Nothing wrong with that, every one has there own choice but as marine seems slighty odd to be against killing of animals lol
People are vegitarian for a whole number of reasons. But even if it is for ethical reasons its a choice in just one area. Some vegitarians wear leather for example but are pulled up on that as hypocrasy. It isnt. Its just different choices.
