I love red roses, but I have had red tullips .................and they still make an impression on me.........................Flowers!..............no matter what........... dooooooooooo they make a fem smile inside .
were ru from checked out your profile your 2500 miles from me
orchids.... but i'd rather see them growing , not picked :jagsatwork:, white roses but definately not red ones :scared: but the one's that made a massive impression on me were black wooden ones, in a bunch - dyed wood curls and shavings carved and styled into roses. Blimey  :inlove:

Den has NEVER bought me flowers, so I'd be over the moon even if they were petrol station flowers!!!!!!!
It's our anniversary on Friday so maybe he'll get the hint when he reads this tomorrow........
lol :rose:
Den if you're listening: i like any pretty flowers!!!!! Especially tulips and lillies and daisies and roses and.......
An Ex said she was going to give me flowers once, which I thought was a very nice gesture expect I had to point out that they set my hay fever off when they are in the house! However I did agree that if she did I would be taking my hay fever tablets!
It was always difficult when I bought flowers (from a florist!) of where I should keep them until giving them to the attended recipient. And yes I have done the buy the flowers from the local corner shop before but it has always been planned and never a last minute thing. They have always seemed to have gone down well....
I usually like to stick with roses or anything that the person has said they like (yes I do listen!)
Also I had a conversation with a friend a while back and we both agreed we liked the leather (black & red) roses that are currently available.
At least I don’t have to worry about my hay fever!
My ex only bought me flowers ONCE in 13 years ! What made it worse is they were pnk lilies and I HATE pink lilies ! confused
I think yellow roses and freesias are the nicest flowers to give anyone :rose:
Think a little investigation is required, peoples tastes are so varied when it comes to flowers!
Continentail "wraps" are a fairly good option. Whack in something with a little frangrance (star-gazers/cassablanca?) and build the rest around the persons favourite colour/house/room scheme. Good foliage makes it for me, not that dodgy gypsophilia everywhere!
Often you can trust the florist. Mention your colour preference (to go with whatever), the type of person they are (modern/trad/bohemian/whatever) and allow Mr or Mrs florist to work their magic.
Personally I am a huge fan of Tulips...which I guess makes me cheap and simple
dunno
Whatever you choose go for something with a nice fragrance like fressias or night scented stock but steer clear of those dreadful dyed flowers in the mixed bunches.........bleurgh !

Blimey
and suddenly Mr Clarke gets interesting wink
I have been known to give flowers once or twice, but its not just the flowers that are important. They are just an object, what is just as important, if not more so, is the message that is delivered with them, because that comes from the heart.
I love flowers..... especially Lilies. I had the biggest bunch Ive ever seen a few weeks ago...... the smell mmmmmmmmmmm nice!
I love to sit in the garden on a summers evening and the perfume from lillies fill the air...yummy! biggrin

lillies and roses are my favourites i just love having fresh flowers in the house and buy myself them quite often
chocolates dont do anything for me, flowers every time
Earthy xx
Flowers are best delivered by the suppliers. This ensures they are at their best.
If you want to buy them, consider looking for them well ahead of the event and keep your eyes pealed in the stalls and suppliers for what is good and fresh. then buy on the day you need them.
i like a well thought out spread of flowers and leaf. Its also nice to get a handy vase along with them as well.
cool
I don't like commercially grown flowers, (ecological nightmare - don't make me get my well worn soap box out).
To be honest any small guesture is nice, so long as there's some thought behind it, not just a last minute dash to the petrol station on the way - not another bag of charcoal!!!!!!
H.x
No wonder my fiancee doesn't like me, I didn't know I had to get flowers
