I know that right now Mark is pretty cut up about things - a decision that was a huge wrench for him, but a decision he had to make for his own sanity and family. Swinging Heaven was his baby A baby that has grown up and got far too big for him, a baby that was swallowing up his time and energy. I want to start a thread just for our darling Mark, I want to thank him for what he has given us over the years. Thank him from the bottom of my heart. He didn't know any of us from Adam, yet he built a site and ran it for us, right up until it got too much. A genuine bloke with a heart of gold. I have to agree with Missy here. Remember that if it wasn't for Mark and Helen then WE wouldn't be here now tearing our hearts out with a struggle for our friends. Some of us were lucky enough to spend a few days with Mark, Helen and family just a few weeks ago and we had a wonderful time. They embraced old friends and our partners equally and still had some time to do some Modding! Sometimes somethings have to 'give'. It it were a choice of family and career over this site, after 3.5 years, then you know which one you'd make. So assionkiss: :smitten: :passionkiss: to them both.

Well said Missy :worship: :worship: No one will ever understand how much work Mark put into the site. When that begins to affect his family then the poor bloke had to make changes. I'd like to say thankyou for creating and running this site for the last few years. Even though I disagree with the way things have been done, I want to extend my thanks for giving me a whole aspect to my sexuality I would have strugled to find without SH and the people in here, the policies you set up and the way it was run. For allowing me to have a space in here to develop who I am, to try new things and to move forward emotionally and with experiences I wouldn't have had without SwingingHeaven. Well I have only been really involved in this site since September so quite new but I was beginning to get involved a fair bit and known .. I really hope it doesn't break this community up as I was beginning to enjoy feeling a part of it. Don't know you Mark but thanks anyway for starting the site up as without it I wouldn't be here and having fun DD

I couldn't express my feelings any more exactly than by quoting what Gem said. So thank you, Mark, for putting SH here in the first place and working so hard on it for so long. It must have been a hard decision to give it up. Mark it was not just a swinging site you brought us. You brought us a caring community, a gathering of like-minded people who are happy to have been part of your creation. It was only last month that I passed my two year mark and said how I had enjoyed the company of you and your helpers. Now I am left to wonder if the next two years will be the same. I can’t really add much to this, but also wanted to give my thanks to Mark. We have to realise that the place will never be the same again – change is inevitable. But it was Mark who put it together in the first place and brought us together, for that alone he has my sincere gratitude. I chatted to people who have become firm friends I partied I fell in love I had my heart broken I had my world torn apart I played I changed, sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse I laughed I cried All this would not have been possible without SH and the effort that Mark put into creating a world for us all. So a huge thank you Mark. I don’t agree with what has been done and the manner which it was done, but at this moment it’s not important to this thread. What is important is that you realise how happy you have made a lot of people over the years.
