Earlier this evening I was reading the news thread on the Big Brother Site. I came across one of the posts for the Big Brothers Little Brother show asking people to call in with suggestions and included the telephone number.
I automatically sat up and thought - 'don't post telephone numbers mad

!'
Then I realised I wasn't on SH and could calm down rotflmao

!
Anyone else found themselves on autopilot?

A few years ago I used to answer the phone in the shop. I'd find myself still doing it when I came home.
I still do it now occasionally when I'm tired or really busy on something else.
All down to conditioned response really (a la Pavlov's dog)

I've found myself pressing 9 to get an outside line on my home telephone a couple of times. confused

I have been known, in times of stress, to blurt out the VERY FIRST telephone number we had in the days of black bakelite and dial phones circa 1969 - EK 21289. My parents drilled that number into my brother and myself so much that we can BOTH remember it.
Mind you, sometimes I have no idea of my present landline number cos I never have to ring it!!!

I thought your first phone number was "Edinburgh 1" and you got that as a special favour because you knew Mr Bell himself?????????

I always try to keep people quiet when im at theirs in the evenings,incase i wake our kids up!!

Something that really pisses me off with my work email system is that I don't get the nice choice of emoticons that I do when on SH. So many times, I've gone to put the rolling eyes one in a work email and can't cos it's not there.... would be sooooo useful too rolleyes

I can't think of anything at the mo, but one thing I remember, which was a while ago, was Kinky Lizard........He sent off a CV for a dream job, and couldn't understand why he had no reply... as the employer near to be was excited by his CV.
He went to have a look at the copy he had sent........................What do you think he signed it as :giggle: :giggle: :giggle:
