Last night in bed, I forgot his name! We have lived together for 2 years and his name just went right out of my head!!!!I have also called him (to my horror), by my ex's name.
Has this happened to any of you lot?

I've done it once. It was the morning after, I couldn't remember his name. Well, actually, I could remember his name but I wasn't 100% certain it was actually his name and thought he may have been having me on.... So, I had to ask. Felt a bit shitty. And yes, I had remembered right after all
Forgetfullness runs in my family. My Dad took a book out of the library and forgot to take it back, when he found it three and a half years later he was too embarressed to return it. The tittle was 'Mind and Memory Training".
Very occassionally I get a complete blank halfway through talking to someone, it's scary and fortunately doesn't happen that often. It's always someone I know very well and it's not even that I just forget thier name, I can be sitting there talking and suddenly I have no idea who they are. No recognition at all, it doesn't last long, about a minute or two. Anyone else get that or am I alone i this?

Sometimes, part way through a convo, I digress on to something else then when I want to return to the original thread...
Still, I had 4 new tyres fitted to the car the other day and the guy in the garage thought that I had made a good choice going for the type I did although they were marginally more expensive than there were at the quick-fit place down the road...

Oh my word...recently I feel like I've lost every functioning brain cell! I keep leaving my purse around the building, forgetting people's names that i've worked with for over a year...you name it, I forget it. Is there any vitamin or mineral that can help with memory!!! What about zinc...does that help?! :twisted:

wogan would call it 'a senior moment'. If Mr JB ever does it to me his epitaph, as soon as possible afterwards, will read 'I had a senior moment'.

Dek does it all the time, i get called his ex wifes name quite often not that they anything remotely similar 
he also calls my son his sons names often they both start with the same letter

M occasionally does that with me but it doesn't bother me tho, calling me his ex-wife's name. It doesn't happen all that often.
The other bit reminded me of my mam. It does my head in man, she'll either a) go thru all her brothers names (5) b4 she gets to mine or b) she'll repetitively call me by my sister's name or c) half my name, half my sisters.
Can't say i have suddently totally forgot someone's name, apart from I keep forgetting my bosses' name when i ring her or she rings me. that's embarrasing
