in cornwall we were one of the first that experienced the switch over.
prior to the switchover my free view in the bedroom worked perfectly, very clear picture.
( except when one of those irritating little fecking 50cc goes past)
since the switch the picture is worse then the analoge used to be. ive re tuned lots of times but still crappy picture now.
i heard a lot of people say they had to buy new boxes as some of the ones per switch over are not compatible since the switch?? dunno why.
seems unfair that there is no option other than not to watch at all, its freeview and teh expense of ariels, boxes etc and still the same tv licence, or go with sky etc and yet stilllll pay the tv licence.
going to send gordon a balaclava for christmas.

My set top box retuned OK but the channels are in a random order to say the least.
Its down to the size of the Network Information Table space allocation in your box - Manufacturers could never forsee the changes happening so rapidly so cannot be blamed. The new NIT is larger and so some boxes cannot cope. Lists of affected TV's and boxes are freely available on the net. If yours is not on there email the manufacturer as there may be a firmware update required - otherwise, sorry its scrap.
If you need a list - some are here
and the list is a .pdf link
retuned ours ok and seems to have improved signal.
