A friend of mine has a bald (Abysinian) cat - it has some form of illness. Could this catch on or are the furry versions better?

im not sure?
I believe the canine population has also been affected

I really can't remember the bald Abyssinian cat illnes thread - where is it?
I had a siamese that lost a lot of fur when he had cat flu as a kitten.
When it grew back it was darker than it should have been and he always had two little bald patches in front of his ears like a little widows peak. biggrin
He was still ace though :D :D
Cats should defintely stick with the fur, bugger to PC correctness and saying no to fur. No one ever chucked paint on him. :P :P

Poor Peter is suffering with extreme coldness at the mo, having been recently de-matted.
He has even jumped up on the sofa, between us, to keep warm a couple of times, this week. Unheard of, that. Usually he makes himself into as much surface area as poss and lie, like road kill, on the solid wood floor.
The vets did a good comb-over though. You wouldn't notice his pink skin showing, from a small distance. Say a mile, or so.
