As you may have heard on the news Welsh rugby star Gareth Thomas has 'come out' and declared himself gay. At the outset we fully support his brave decision to do so. Whilst being rugby fans we are not die-hards or Dai anything else for that matter. We wonder how the real die-hards will accept this. All of a sudden the stereotypical image of the macho International rugby player has been turned on its head. This seems to hold true far more in rugby as a whole than football. How do you think the rugby world will react?
Our feeling is that it should do nothing and let Gareth get on with his life and love of the game. If it makes it easier for others to 'come out', great!!! What do you think?
