Genuine..?

Hi peeps, first time writer into this forum. Now then, I would just like to say that I`m getting more and more despondent by the day, in relation to adverts being put out. Briefly, I`ve replied to around a twenty or more ads (in which I fitted the advertiser(s) criteria, only to get NO responses whatsoever, or even their email addresses not up & running (despite replying to same day ads). Only on one occasion did an advertiser have the decency to reply to me saying that I didn`t fit the bill. Ok, fair enough. As least I was told. But it really makes me wonder how many GENUINE advertisers there are out there. I reckon maybe 10%.....
Anyone with any further thoughts?

Hiya John,
Welcome to the forum,
First - e-mail addresse, there are various reasons why you will get an error report of the type you describe. When it happens, report those ads using the "report" button on the ad. The moderators will then test the e-mail address.
If the address does not exist, the ad is pulled.
If the address does exist, it is left. The advertiser is advised that some people trying to respond are getting error messages.
Not saying "thanks but no thanks" is ill mannered, ill mannered does not mean they are not genuine, just ill mannered.
Why not post what you consider to be your best reply, and let people take it apart!
Other than that, there is loads of advice around, make sure you are using it.

Maybe this may help -
I've just been into the Moderators email and found 6 (SIX) emails from one chap...no, I won't name him cos he'd only be so very embarassed...who thought that he was responding to emails, leaving his name and telephone number. All he was doing was pressing the link marked 'report this ad'!!!
The 'report this ad' link is for when you lot want to draw it to the attention of us lot - for offensive, illegall, escorts, gigilos etc -
NOT TO REPLY TO THEM!!!!!
