Yup, I'm afraid it's par for the course...... there are lots of timewasters out there and it is hard to tell who is genuine and who isn't. As Zootle says, you do see the more genuine people are more active in the forums - not only that but there is always a good banter and p***taking too - so you can have a laugh along the way!

Look, pet, it's just website and it's free at that which means it's accessible to every Tom,Harry and a few dicks if you're lucky to indulge in their stupid games and time-wasting efforts 'cos they've got nowt better to do.
Personally, I'm nowt but a tease and a tart. I flirt all day and night with anyone who'll put up with me but I can count on one hand the amount of people I've played with from SH and still have 2 fingers free for my own use
However, through excessive use of the Forum and chatroom, I've met dozens and dozens of gorgeous folk from here and it's worth very damn letter, word, Switch transaction and new underwear!
Usual advice:
* Don't rely on your ad to do all the work. There's a LOT of competition out there and not everyone even looks at the ads (guilty!

* Get yourself known in the Forum and/or chatroom
* Socialise rather than just looking for sex
* Get yourself to a Munch, party or similar social event - you'll meet all the nicest people and boost your popularity no end!

Agree with all the above reference socializing however regarding your actual ad it does say at the beginning of the ad section ; "it is not necessary to publish a photo with your ad in this section, however doing so will improve your results."
A percentage of interest is generated by text and a percentage generated by a picture. As mentioned earlier in this thread there maybe literally thousands of ads with appealing text but it would be impossible to correspond with all of them in the hope that there would also be aesthetic appeal.
A picture, whilst by no means proof of genuineness, certainly helps focus and use time more effectively. It doesn`t have to be indiscreet. If for example we were particularly interested in meeting a couple who share a love of tattoos/muscles/bbw etc etc etc then a thoughtful picture on an ad would help to focus time better . There are many out there (us included) who have no idea at all what "very attractive" means.

Totally agree with foxys on that! I do browse through the ads from time to time, but generally check the "only show ads with photos" box when doing so. If there's any way you could add a photo or two to your ad, that certainly might help. In our own experience, the responses went through the roof when we added two additional photos to our own ad, so it does work.
Also, if you could describe yourselves a bit more in depth - in terms of physical appearance, likes & dislikes, qualities you're looking for in potential partners, etc - that might assist others in finding you as well...especially with those of us who use the search function when perusing the ads. The more you say about yourselves, the more likely they are to get a "hit" on one of their search terms.
Finally, spend some time in the forums and get to chatting with others. Of all the people we've met through our ads and the site in general, I'd have to say that the Cafe Forum members here are definitely the most genuine of all!
