Towards the end of last summer I began to wreck my garden and dig a huge hole where the grass once was.
After finding and Anderson shelter under the lawn, which required a 12lb sledge hammer and a lot of hard work to shift - I began to lay concrete and build the walls to my new pond.
The weather soon caught up and work in the garden stopped...
Well today I finally got off my arse and went out to buy all the last bits and bobs.
Today I finished off the last bit of mortar work... laid a carpet in the bottom, fitted the preliner, fitted the liner and I am now waiting for 5000L of water to drip through my hose pipe and fill the ferkin thing!
Tomorrow is decking day - that is all I need to get done - put the decking around the top of it as seating and it is finished - yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
Then there is only the huge pile of mud and clay to get rid of, the slabbing to do, two walls to build, the clearing up of what looks like a builders yard and hey-presto - I have my garden back.
