I'm quite partial to a drop of "Dragonheart" or "Crop Master"
Both very nice. I've also found one called "Chocolate" to be pretty good.
And any of the "Badger" range and you're guaranteed a good beer. :mrgreen:

Just checked me glass(MrsFC bought specially for me) Hobgoblin is spelt thus.
I stashed them earlier before Jas tipped the 45 crates of the stuff down the sink :cry: biggrin

My reward for going food shopping with Mrs is to have a choice of a couple of bottles of ale.....raisin beer is good with the usual Speckledhen, Hobgoblin and various local brews biggrin

Hope London Pride isn't made from Londons water.
If it is I'll end up drinking it sat on the toilet. For some reason the water in London goes through me like an express train. confused

Nice to be back in the GFZ again. :happy:
Having read the last couple of pages I have enjoyed the debate on 'proper' beers - though I do like a nice wine, particularly with a meal.
Now then. Particular favourites are Hobgoblin (yes, I know that everyone else has mentioned it but I can't help that!), Old Speckled Hen, Fiddler's Elbow, Bishops Finger and if you're going to talk Fullers either ESB or 1845 - both even better than London Pride.
All this talk of beer is making me thirsty. I think I have a bottle of Hobgoblin stashed away in the larder here in Shropshire. TIme to open it, I think.
Now then - back to the plans for the double decker. Oh - more about that later!
Will - Full of the joys of summer and glad to be back.

can't stop.......just...erm....looking for a thread that appears to have gone missing.........it was there last night, then got sort of split, and appears to have wandered off. just....erm..thought it might have popped in here for a beer and jacuzzi?? dunno

are we all stocked up on real beer now though? wouldn't be a pint of black sheep would there while i have a think about where it might be hiding? theakstons old pec'll do if not??
anyway, i'll be back in a bit, but if celticq comes in tell her i'm on the case, but seems it might have run off with the deer and ayshires! she'll know what i'm on about ((( or possibly not? :dunno: again )))

hahaa thanks calista. i suspected as much! lurking was it? pestering the girlie's? drinking too much and splashing about in the wet area? i'll give it a stern telling off later!
now that i've managed that little job, another pint's in order, and one for yourself calista! ta very much! lol

then i'll pop off and try and find other things that aren't really lost, and book in for an eye test while i'm at it! ;-)

slowly pulls on the handle to the door to the gfz.....and surprsingly the door opens, so I slowly open the door and peer around the corner......no-one's inside, I look down the corridor in SH Towers, no-one in sight.....ah....Misschief's forgotten to lock the door :giggle:
I collapse in a heap on the sofa, tv on nice and quiet so as not to rouse the suspiciouns of a passing mod, I grab a nice chilled beer, and just relax after a hard weekend.....this is the life......think i'll squat here, no mortgage to pay, serving wenches on hand....oh yes !!
I shall not be moved ! :twisted:
