No rain here but a big black cloud has just moved gently over my street. Fingers crossed that it passes and doesn't rest here.

Just got my Ark building book from the library and have ordered 200 cubits of gopher wood on-line. Does anybody know where I can get 2 lions, 2 tigers, 2 dogs, 2 cats , 2 elephants..........

Mind you, being one of the ‘cut off from civilisation’ brigade tonight has reminded me that adverse weather is not necessarily all bad everywhere.
(OK, setting aside ALL those who can’t cope for ALL the various reasons for just a few seconds :roll: )
me and the lad are sat at home, cut off from the world, the road outside a total river, there’s blue flashing lights everywhere, people in rubber boats, yet we have a good stock of food, gas camping stove, candles, the coal fire glowing and thank god the lecky’s still on. A friend rang me earlier and said that an artic wagon was down the road with water up to its headlights :shock:
All sounds very gloomy, but to be honest, it’s a bit of an adventure for me and the boy right now and happily there seems to be a lot of that old ‘father /son’ bonding thing going on.

the pool is dead, long live the pool lol

its actually warm enough to walk about with your shirt off, trouble is we have 97% humidity so its sweatsville as well as deep water, just makes everything hard work. take my hat off to the fire crews in all that heavy gear trying to pump the place out, must be like working in a sweatbox bolt
