Official Opening Times
The GFZ will be open for business from around 1700 each Friday, until midnight on the following Sunday. Extensions will be frequent.

I was just wondering what this place is about. Obviously it was intended as a place for us blokes but seems to now just be a weekend chill place.
I was just wondering has it been a long tradition type thing and did it evolve over time to become what it is or was it allways that way. dunno

WELCOME BACK to the wonderful world of GFZ MrsFC - and thanks for the wine, I need it too.
Actually, just arrived home from a lovely trip to Durham to find the biggest and most beautifulest (???) bouquet of flowers from Fred and Wilma Flintstone! :inlove: It's so heartening to think that this site has enabled so many people to make so many good and lasting friendships which stretch the boundaries of the site. Fred, for those who don't know, was one of the earliest Mods and Ops and was instrumental, with Mark and others, in setting up and establishing this site the way it is now. Mark was the driver and Fred was the navigator (and not forgetting others who are no longer around so much like the lovely StevieG).
Anyway, I'm off to sit and look at my roses and drink my SH glass of wine. MrsFC knows just how I like it, she's poured enough for me!

Not so much 'nostalgic' cos I don't believe in the priniciple of 'looking back' but this site is only able to look forward because of people in 2003 who believed in the need for this site and spent long long hours making it the top ranking swinging site in the UK.
Fred and Wilma are still around and I see them often, however I think that a lot of people fail to understand (not a criticism, only an observation) the slog it was in the days before the new commercial owners, with a team of paid employees, took over.
My life has undergone a radical shift in emphasis because of this site and because of some people who use it, both past and current, and I just wanted to articulate some appreciation - again for the past and for the present.
FEE... alone? All weekend??? You could have charged down the M74 to me. Think of the fun... wine, chats, wine... gossip... water... wine.. more chats. Next time let me know and we can do it.
NOW... who's got the wine cos Jags needs some more. Been tussling with twats for the last wee while and need distraction.
