I would give away the copy of 'The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas' that I have just finished reading for the umpteenth time. It's a truly beautiful, moving, wonderful, powerful, gut-wrenching book. I think it should be a must-read for adults and kids alike.

I'm so glad I Googled this before I started to read it. I can't bear stories about the Holocaust. I read a book called 'Ellie' a true story of a 14 year-old who ended up in Auschwitz twice. It broke my heart. I avoid similar stories now - can't even watch Schindler's List. People say it's wonderful, but all I can think about is 'what about the one's he didn't save?'
I don't diminish that catastrophe - I just can't bear to hear the human stories involved.

This is NOT something that is at all apparent on this site...but I'd have to give away humour. I am still shocked at the number of people who take themselves too seriously ;) !

But feeling superior is SO much easier than laughing at self. biggrin:D:D:D:D:D And since others don't agree with the superiority bit, it has to be repeated ad nauseum just to remind people about it :D
