Bless ya, Timmy.
(Chq is in the post)
HAHAHAHA
An update.
It has been booming thunder constantly since 4am.
The rain started about 6am.
It's torrential.
Anyone who was jealous of festie-goers... just look at the state of me after the school run (school being about 500 yards away)

Wow - if thats not a reason to go to Glasto I don't know what is surprised
Good Job my daughters got her Wellies with her then
A Postcard arrived today
she said it was the onely one that wasnt either rude or had illegal substances on it
but theres an odd looking plant in amongst the grass lol
The weather's that bad two main stages have been hit by lightening and the start of the concert has been delayed whilst they try to sort out the electric.
Apparently there are people packing up and going home!
All this is in stark contrast to my festival experience at Sonar, Barcelona last week - 32 degress constant sushine, and no stinky tent. biggrin
I've been to glasto twice, but although it was fun i decided this year you can keep your muddy field, Europe is far more civilised. Glad i did now!
I've just heard that the weather has shorted out the music systems!!!! Lots of people wearing carrier bags over their trainers to stop the mud. I hope the weather picks back up for em. sad

LATEST NEWS
Lightning and torrential rain delayed the start of the Glastonbury Festival in Somerset, with flooding hitting parts of the site.
The first band was due on at 1030 BST, but all stages closed because of power cuts and safety fears. Stages are now reopening across the site.
Some 100,000 fans are on site to see acts including the White Stripes.
The BBC's Ian Youngs said spirits remained high, and medics had dealt with 19 injuries - the same as in 2004.
"Streams running through the site have burst their banks, some gates to the site have been closed because of waterlogging," he said.
I
"There are rivers of water running through the farm down the hill. At points, the water is knee-deep."
But he added: "It's not too cold, people are getting wet but not much worse than that, as far as I can see."
Radio 1 Newsbeat reporter Kevin Geoghegan said he had seen tents floating away.
Organisers said the wet weather was likely to continue until 1500.
'Seen it all before'
Festival founder Michael Eavis told the BBC News website: "People survived, and coped. We need to cheer up a bit and enjoy ourselves. If you get a challenge like this it wakes everyone up and it improves the spirit."
He urged people not to be put off coming to the festival.
"Come on down, you will have the time of your life, but bring your wellies," he told BBC Radio 1.
"Don't be put off by a bit of rain. We've seen it all before and we will cope."
The set constructed for BBC Three's coverage from Glastonbury was flooded while BBC Radio 1's Jo Whiley had to abandon her live broadcast after a river close to the corporation's compound burst its banks.
"It's a lock-down situation at the moment," she told listeners by phone.
Police said 100,000 of the expected 112,500 crowd were on site, and had dealt with 71 drug offences and 16 other reported crimes.
Four police horses had to be moved out of the festival after their stables flooded.
"Most of the attention for all of the services is being focused on the valley of the site," a spokesman said.
Well I've had a report from JucyLucy, a bag of hers disappeared as she was putting the tents up, this bag contained;
her camera
her coat
her clothes
her wellies
so she's been walking around in a sarong and no knickers (don't tell her I told you!!!)
Last night she slept under an awning as the tent was too hot, her sleeping bag is now soaked.
Despite this she (and having pledged not to smoke as she gave up about 6 weeks ago) she said that she is still really enjoying herself, and is still bouncing around.
"It's fabulous!" she said.

No, you didn't get wet, you just used 'Opposite' Photoshop function, that's why your 'Bermuda Triangle' is the only bit showing as dry, that's the bit that's normally dripping! Well, in my experience at least biggrin
Just seen it on the news,
I think you would be better off taking a boat and a wetsuit, and wellies!
unlucky glasto folk its pissd down and ur floating away(and i aint talking lsd)
dont u just love the british summer
Why do people always think that summer starts in June here - any heat in June is merely to lull you into a false state of be-sandalled security.
Never trust the sun until mid-July! But you're normally pretty safe until September.
biggrin
Oh dear.........poor folks getting soaked confused
However, if a certain person is reading this (who is at Glastonbury) ..............
I bet a caravan doesn't look so bad now eh???? lol

I may be wrong, but what happened to the other one... I'm sure they used to be known as "womad and womad?" or was that another one hit wonder from the 80's?

No visit to Glasto is complete without dropping in to a certain little pub world famous for its cider.
I’m not sure if I can name or post a link to it on here, but suffice to say that it is located on the main road between Norton St. Philip and Faulkland. (PM for details)
Now if you like Cider, you are going to love this place, but be warned, they do a house special that will blow your sox off just for looking at it.
The atmosphere is just something to be taken in, a real step back in time.
Having said all that I just hope it’s not been turned into a trendy wine bar since the last time I was there rolleyes
