Have just tried to get in the chat room and its impossible it just freezes my pc all the time. Its using all of the processers resources. The old chat room i had no probs with. Will it eventually be sorted so we can all use it?

Well if it's any consolation Chris n Mick I have had the same problem tonight and I have 1GB of memory in my computer
If my computer cant cope (and it's a very new one with the dogs danglies with regard to memory and processor) then how the hell can the new site admin expect other chatters to be able to use it?? dunno

The chat room is getting some enhancements early in the new year, I'll go over and have a look at it as it may need flushing.
rotflmao :rotflmao: Is that a technical term Steve or does it have another meaning??

Grrrrrrrrrr, arse, feck booze, arse, feck!
The signout time needs to be increased, or needs to use cookie that does not expire just as long as the web page has not been exited as I'm seriously fecked off with creating a concidered and thoughtfull reply only ot hit post and have "you dont have sufficient crap cos we have signed you out you poor sod you've just lot all 3 pages of A4 dissertation."
If I want to send a "cor nite tits, fancy me spunking on them...." then no problems...
But I tend, but not always, to post replys to threads with thinking, beers, and um'ing and aring... revision, and sometimes the back button....
So loggin me out is a fucking pain in the goddammed arse!
at least with the old php if you posted and there was an error you could back page and see your original text, copy it to the clipboard, and then re-try or save in notepad.

Oh flushing it needs - but the environment agency may need warning of the sudden rise of polution levels in the water system lol

thanks st3v3 happy new year   drinkies
Another little thing which needs tweaking please.
On our accounts, we have the facility to block mail from certain member types. So in theory, if we do not wish to be contacted by a certain group, we could block them and never see the messages if anyone in the catgory should send us a pm.
However, in practise this is not the case. On trying this out with another account, I first blocked contact for the second account so that it could not be contacted by *Couples*.
I then pm'd that account from this Redhot one, which is a couples account.
Not only did the former account get the flashing red *new message* when next signed in, as it had also got a tick in the box to forward any site pm's to the email address, the pm duly appeared in the email inbox anyway
I then reverted back to Redhot and found the pm in my sent box had been marked as "read" by the recipient confused
Is it not possible for those in groups which have been declined contact by a member, to get a message telling them they are unable to contact that member and NOT be able to send the pm?
Otherwise, it rather defeats the object of having the facility to *block* certain groups from contact, when in practise they can pm to their hearts content rolleyes
Thank you wink

Well its certainly not a chatroom anymore - no one even bothers to say hello. There must be a way of having both a chatrookm and a pickup joint. Like here in the forum where we have two seperate areas. I hope so otherwise you will never be able to chat to anyonesad

You should have been in last night, a few of us from the forums invaded it and had a good old chin wag, just like the good old days wink
But I do agree with what you are saying about it being a pick up joint rather than a chat room and it doesnt help with all the whispering and cams going on.
This might be a repeat!
If I do a post search and choose to search All Available, posts in the dogging section don't seem to be included. I found the post I was looking for by going through the Dogging section so it was definitely still there but posts by the person I was searching on only showed those in the Cafe and LMU.
Bring out the coding Gimp! It's spanking time!
ive looked through all the previous post and there are a few questions that i dont think have been asked or answered, sorry if they have
1. when i used to recieve a e-mail telling me i had a new pm there would be a link in the e-mail to take me straight to SH. i dont appear to have this anymore? will it be returning?
2. think this has been asked but could not see the reply.... when i recieve a pm i used to be able to click a button somewhere and see the pm'ers posts on the forums, i cant anymore? will it be returning?
3. if there are different levels of memberships, how do i tell whos on what and what they are able to do, respond to ?
4. there appears to be no serch facility on the photo ads?
5. this thread is really long, any chance of picking out the questions and replys rether than having to read every post?
sorry if this is all a repeat

Actually that would be a good idea. I recently had a pm on another site from a guy who had seen my ad on here, and since he couldn't reply to it here because he has not paid his membership fee, he simply contacted me through other means on a free site  rolleyes
Perhaps people should not be able to read the ads unless they have paid up first either? After all, if this sort of thing happens a lot, it rather defeats the idea of having to pay a fee anyway confused

With all the people moaning about the post code thing in the cafe it got me thinking.
I use mapping software at work and have a map in my office marking postcode areas.
Could we possibly have a 2 page document in the help section - a list of postcodes and areas e.g.
AB- Aberdeen
L - Liverpool
PR - Preston
and then a map of the territories.
just an idea that might stop some of the moaning
quite a few problems
disappearing ads past posts disappeared etc
but many good features
I like the new chatroom
Chat Rooms doesnt work at all with Konquorer...
I'm running Slax (Linux Live) .. and my web browser is Konquorer (part of KDE)... the chatroom starts loadng.... says connecting.. and doesnt do any more....
is there an IRC or a html alternative
if you want help coding it... more than happy to help

If there was, don't you think we would be using it rather than moaning or going else where to chat rolleyes
Hi there,
We have been members for a week or so, but when we edited our advert it changed our Date joined field to the date we edited it! confused Please help us, we are serious and don't want to look like newbies for ever!
(Sorry if this has already been posted - feel free to mock us!)
I&L
Edit (bi_the_sea) Our joining date by the avatar is accurate, but not the profile! wtf?

Sarge loves newbies bi_the_sea and not cos it makes 'em easier to drown - it keeps him active lol keeps his weight down so he continues to be sexy sarge.
Steph bolt
Well, with all these newbies (yes, inc. us!) the sarge shouldn't have to worry about his weight - i don't think he'll get time to eat with all the thread-locking etc!
Anyway, we would be to dificult to drown - too much air in our heads!!
In the Profile where you put what you're looking for can we have an option that says not looking? or just friendship. It would stop a lot of people receiving pm's when they don't want them.

good one
I am starting to get sick of explaining that I don't have an ad.
I have minimum info on my profile and yet I still get people (not just single guys) saying " I read your ad" " love your ad"....
I DON'T HAVE A BLOODY AD! mad
edit - to add constructive comment.....
Could the profiles state that they are just profiles and not an ad and not an indication that the member/s is/are actively searching for anything from every Tom, Harry and Dick-head that works out how to look at them dunno
Not sure if this has been mentioned before..............but.......................................
everytime we update our ad it gives the date of the update as the date we joined mad
makes us look like newbies ( ie in need of gentle handling wink )
even though we have been here for well over a year!!!
grrrrr we are not impressed

What about just adding a "free text" box to the profile page?
That would allow people to put exactly what they don't want e.g. cock pics and also people to put information about what they're into that isn't already allocated a tick box.
It could also be linked to the text field in the search facility allowing others with a specific interest to find a match.
Kill two birds with one stone and hopefully not too much work for the admin

I doubt that having an option to say you're not actively looking to swing on a payment related swingers site, is going to be high on the list of priorities tbh.
The site owners are here to make money and with all due respect, they are going to look after their paying customers who do swing first and foremost. That is the area they will make money on after all.
I very much doubt they give a fiddlers fart about *friendships*, despite their protestations to the contrary. They are a business first and out to make money. End of.
Having said that, we will be off like a shot at the first request for a payment. We do swing, but won't be paying for it.
In the meantime, why not just delete without reading, any pm's you receive which you are not expecting, or do not know the person who sent it?
It takes far less time to do this, than to read them all and then delete them if they're not from your friends.
There is an option on profiles in which you can tick a box to block pm's from unwanted groups, single guys, couples, fems etc, but if you read back a page or two on this thread, you will see that I tested it out and at present, it does not work rolleyes
As the membership increases on this site, I'm sure so will the amount of unwanted pm's increase for all of us. It is a case of the delete button being your friend wink

just been looking at the club review page
is it us or do single guys get everywhere?????????
on the ourplace4fun review a single guy called james has an ad!!!!!!!!
