Hi I logged in to our account this morning and clicked on home page for my account it gave a list of mail and when I clicked on it to read it said there was no mail or it could not find the message. Does this mean the messages have been lost?

The chatroom is rendered pointless since is slows to a crawl and viewing profiles takes an absolute ERERNITY.....

Give the mods their 'merge' keys back!
Having the ability to move a post to an appropriate place saves a lot of moaning and trouble. It helps keep the forum free from clutter without the need to keep locking shite all the time.

Profile search needs a simple fix:
When someone creates a profile, force them to specify what they're looking for ("Couples / Females / Bi Females / Guys / Nothing at all, go away", etc.)
Then, when someone performs a search, ONLY return profiles of people "looking for" the searcher. A couple performing a search will only see profiles from people looking for couples, single guys only get profiles from people looking for single guys, etc.
I'm tired of going through zillions of profile which explicitly state that they're only interested in couples and females, but that I can't filter out in my search ! I mean, that feature would certainly be more helpful than the "Drinker" field !
Anyone else feeling like that, or is it just me going grumpy ? rolleyes

NNNNOOOOO dont do that!! Why should anyone be forced to say what they are looking for. Personally, if I had to specify I was 'looking' for something, then the Cancel Account button would be my friend.
Have you forgot Thomas that there are a lot of people on here who are looking for nothing but a good old chin wag with their mates?

But it is now a pay site for active swingers, so the new owners are not really going to give you the option of syaing your not looking go away!!! Anyway, surely the way to contact people is to use the ads in the Photo Ads section or to use the LMU posts rather than bother people who dont want to be bothered. If people dont have an ad in either, doesnt that tell you that more than likely they dont want to meet or have messages sent to them?

"ignore user" doesn't seem to work - a while back, just after the upgrade, had a message from a single male (not interested), so clicked ignore. Just signed on for first time in a while, new message flashing, go to mail box, mail. Click "ignore user" since it was single male again, got reply "already in your ignore list"... so, if he's already in ignore list, how come I got the message?
Also, looking at some of the text of some of the ads, it seems that some of the wrong-category posts are caused by the SH server, not the poster. Saw one from a single male in the 'women seeking couples' category, and the 1st line read something like "the category heading is wrong, honest - i'm a single male"... so, some of those misposts are not numpty newbies.

Another glitch:
I have my account set to not e-mail me ever... so I was surprised when I got an e-mail saying I had messages here. Logged on, and yes, there was a list of 5 or 6 new messages on the opening screen. Clicked on one, says it wasn't there. Clicked on mailbox, said it was empty. Clicked on home page, all the mails had vanished.
Looks to me like I was getting notification of someone else's messages, and that was the list I saw on 1st log on.
Just as well it didn't let me read them, eh?

Is the fact that it puts the date you 'Posted/Edited' your ad into the 'Joined' field going to be fixed ?
Only a minor issue but...you know !! smile

And searches in Photo Ads, is that coming back ?

The new advert censorship system is only filtering text in adverts, not in the short extracts of adverts shown on 'category' pages.

I cannot see my own pics at "my photo"...1 or 2 come and go.
All my pics are "public" but I cannot see any when click through on "profile" in this forum
I can only see 1 of 4 pics when I create ad ..but sometimes there is 2...otherwise read box with cross...
All my pics show OK on my ad.
Many people have sent email with saying there is pic attached but nothing in email.
In past this worked very well.
When I click on an members advert pic it does not enlarge like last year.
when I click on a members gallery I can see the number of times the pic is view but not the pic. I am not having good experience with gallery at all.
I tried 2 other PC to log in with same problems.
when I put my address on my ad to get pics while this glitch is sorted it is edited out - if everything work OK i would not need to do that.
I need to have search back like before to find profile number, guys still email me to say look at my profile but how to find it quick?
I am having to mail everyone back with my address - can this be automated?
I would like to send a reply to everyone who mail me automatically.
We were happy to pay 1 year member for this site because we had good fun in past but now i find it is not working well for images and image is most important for me.

I have also been having PM problems. Everytime I try to reply to a message, it reverts back to the one at the top of my inbox, inlcudes a quote from that message and addresses the new PM to that couple.
The only way I could stop if doing it was to delete the PM at the top of my inbox (which I actually wanted to send to a Mod as it was someone trying to sell me something and I now cant remember the name of the person who sent it) confused

Only just been able to post.... The "post a reply button" has been AWOL...
So with the pms being messed up, does that mean the ones i've sent today, (which i can see in my "sent box" as not being read) have also gone AWOL?
Another glitch i can see, is when ads etc are edited, to remove phone numbers and URLS etc, the ad itself is edited, but on the main page (with a list of ads etc, and the first few lines of the ad) the phone number etc remains unedited, and visible
Hope that makes sense....

Any idea of a timescale for the ads search to be back online? Even a really basic search would make a big difference - maybe search by one keyword or by location ... that should be do-able without crashing the server surely??
Without some minimal search function, the photo ads are nearly useless - I'm curious as to what is higher priority than this?

We are talking days rather than weeks, to make the search run without the risk of crashing the servers we have had to restructure the photo ads part of the database, that should be completed in the morning, then we can try out the search over the next few days if all goes well.
