First of all, apologies if this has been covered and feel free to lock it if it has.
I have never been to a swinging club before and am considering that maybe one day soon the OH and I should give it a go. The thing is, I am hardly the extrovert and wonder if people will find it offensive if I don't join in. I don't want to go there and gawp but at the same time, don't feel that I can definitely commit myself to be doing stuff. What is the standard mode of conduct and just as important, what do you wear?

Going to clubs for the first time
We have been to a swinging club once two weeks ago. I am (Chris) quite a shy person and I really enjoyed it there is no pressure to join in and quite a few people didnt although we did pluck up courage to in the end. The dress code is supposed to be smart for the men (although a few did turn up in jeans) and sexy for the ladies. Some wore very revealing clothes other like me were in sexy should wear what you are comfy in. We would definately recommend it.

Most people are nervous the first time they go to a club. With all these naked people looking at you.
Just rember most other people are naked as well.
Youll find that after a while(or alchole) u will relax and it will just come naturally to chill and watch. Many people just watch, some participate also.

i first started using clubs about 5 years ago and have been to a fair few diffarent ones now, in no clubs are you obligated to join in, clubs as a rule have a 'bar' area when playing don't usually happen anyway, then if you do decide to play you will usually find lockable rooms so you can go in with who you wish and noone can join in, or see you even, as for what to wear well that would depend on the club, some are sauna based clubs and some and night club type clubs, you would have to find out what kind of club it was b4 you went

Can be anything from street wear to absolutely nothing, depends on the club/venue.
I will admit I like the middle ground of sexy underwear on the women and towels on the guys (not a fan of tight undies on guys, designed to show how big their "lunch box" is, I have enough competition as it is.)
it was funny seeing your post tonight coz it was only last night i was chatting to a fellow sh on the do's and don'ts and possibility of going to a club! 
although i had an idea of what i would wear.....black sexy undies, stockings with dress/skirt & low top, i was not sure about the get naked bit! i am ok with men i know but in a room full of people i don't know? well, same answer was given to me (as mikec said), a little drink goes a long way and there is always the bar lounge if i was unsure in any way, but also was told that a person is put under no stress to do anything they do not wish too, the one in my area is sauna with private rooms.
the way i look at it is if you have thought about it and have found out where your nearest club is then you are already in the frame of mind to go and try which probable means you will and if you don't you will always wonder! my only advise is go with someone you know so you have a safety net if need be
