What have your neighbours done for you lately ?

One side parks in front my flipping house mad
The other side sometimes takes in my home shopping deliveries
The man over the road looks at my car for me if it won't start. He is lovely
I haven't needed much from my neighbours, but I know I can always rely on them to take in a parcel and even fetch it round for me when they see my car in the drive.
I live down a quiet cul de sac in a village - I don't always lock my door or close my patio doors in summer. One night I was laid in bed and heard my garage door being closed. I had been in there earlier in the evening and forgotten to close it. A neighbour from up the road came home late and saw it and simply walked up and closed it.
I'm lucky that I live in a quiet road, wwithout that small element of crap neighbours that others suffer - I reckon the majority of people at least leave you alone and many would do a little bit to help if they see the need.

We have lived in this house for 18 yrs now and though its a close of 15 houses we still only know 3 close neighbours, our closest one is a real gem, she takes in our washing when raining, keeps my misses in Avon special offers, and has never complained about any weird noises from my home improvements or late night banging lol

late night banging....
The mind boggles...... :giggle:
My neighbours are great. I can always pop round and get all sorts of things I might run out of - milk, sugar, tea, sandwiches, even a newspaper. But then it is the local shop and I do have to pay!
We dont really have a lot to do with our neighbours, nothing to do with not getting on with them as we do. I think that if a situation arose such as flowers that the same sort of thing would be done by our neighbours and I'm damn sure that i'd do it. Fair play to your neighbour flower, it shows he has social values and fair play to you for thanking him, so many wouldn't, at least he'll go home knowing he did right and if there was another situation similar then he'd more than likely do the same thing.

But I must confess to being a bit surprised by the addition of knuckle dusters !! Are these common ? Am I unusual, not having a handy set of knuckle dusters lying about the house ? dunno

How can your knuckles ever get dusty :dunno: If they did, I'd wash and not dust rolleyes
Flower, you really need to play nicely so that you don't get mixed up in the dirt
Sadly I’m not in a good place with my next door neighbours at the moment.
My neighbour's girlfriend has recently moved in with him and lately, after my guy and I have had a ‘good time’, they have started banging on the wall. My guy reckons it’s a round of applause (men!!) though have to say I personally cant look them in the eye right now :embarrased:.
