Good Ole Double Standards.

Actually, dunno if double standard is the right phrase here, but why is it that when I am letching over some female totty with a colleague, the colleague is more than happy to accept that I do this, be they male or female.
However, when I am letching over some male totty, my female colleagues are accepting, however the male colleagues really don't know how to react.
I find this bizarre, as they are more than willing to accept I may be lusting after the women but when I say (as the next bit of totty walks in) "Oooh, and he's nice!" They go all sheepish and give it the "Oh, well, I wouldn't know" thing.
Women are more than happy to see that another woman is attractive, men are just.... I dunno... scared?
Anyone else even have a clue what I am on about here?
no not really rolleyes
I never letch...I admire wink
But know what you mean, it's only my gay mates who'll readily drool at the men with me
One of those things in society, female female is far more acceptable than any sort of male male relationship. In fact most women are almost expected to find women attractive, but men just aren't supposed to see guys as attractive?
Not my views btw, sure I read this in some research article. Lets face it, we live in a mad world smile
Yeah they seem to think if they admit to a guy being good looking or even ok some macho man might take the piss and say "are you gay" usually guys I work with cough or just smirk if you pass comment on another bloke to them
 xxx
simple really, it's the way we're made up - Men see all other men as competition and are too macho to say a nother guy is attractive rolleyes
Of course it could also apply to women who saw other women/men as competition for you wink
The wonders of our genes huh
Ive found that bi men are more than ready to letch over other men, be they bi or straight.
Obvious innit? Majority of men wish to be seen as homophobic - the majority of women wish to be seen as lesbophilic!! lol

Thems is big words Tune.
Me I'm not gay, but I have no objection in saying that a man is attractive.

i'll just letch over EVERY ONE!!. thank you very much wink
us blokes sometimes get embarrassed or selfconcious when a bunch of women sit around eyeing us up and giggling...might blush!
oops looks like i read that wrong!!!
a bloke might have no problem saying 'that blokes a lucky bastard he looks like david beckham'' but might not say in front of a bunch of work collegues ''yes girls i know what you mean, i think its his hair, it really brings out his cheek bones''..........doesnt mean there not 'supremely confident' with their sexuality!!
'supremely confident'---i like that!
Before we were married, hubby wouldn't have accepted it was "ok" to acknowledge that another man was attractive - not necessarily meaning he was "attracted to...." - Now we're married he seems to be able to recognise it and understand the difference between "attractive" and "attraction".
Either that or I have brainwashed him smile
I have similarly realised taht since coming out as bi, I have been encouraged by all my male friends and boyfriend to point out which girls I fancy and be all suggestive, but I feel I'm still not allowed to notice a good looking guy. It is a double standard I guess but i can see why my chap would feel threatened by my fancying another guy. I think it's about being conspiritorial (or summat?) - i.e. blokes can't be in on the 'letching' in the same amnner if it's a just look bored.
I was sat at a bar with someone from this site a few months back, and an attractive female walked by, and yes I was watching but so was he, I then get the comment you perving the girlies!!
I could only answer yes!! But at least we were both doing it at the same time!!
