Google claim that the Wigan area's top search is 'swinging'. I this because there are load of swingers in Wigan or because there are few swingers in Wigan looking for someone to play with? Is there anyone from Wigan who can tell us? Should we holiday in Wigan?

How do Google link a search to a specific town?
Are IP addies 'area' based? I didn't think so.
But then again - I'm not well up on internet techie stuff.

IPs are not erea based, but the telphone link is.
Does anyone know how they do it?

Easy you IP addy is related to your internet conection as we all know and it's your internet service provider that provides that conection and since they bill you monthly or otherwise they know your location, I use norton as a firewall and it flags when I'm under attack and one of the options it lets me do is see what location (country wise) in the world this attack comes from so if that is available to me just think what is available to the ones with full access to it's functions IE: the techy geeks who write the software......................................................
