Great day yesterday......NOT!
- Got 'done' by a mobile speed camera. I was doing 42 on a road I was convinced was a 40mph to find out it's a 30mph zone!!!!
- Finally had to take my lovely pooch to the vets to be put down due to his cancer
SO. I need cheering up. Please post some funny stuff here to make me laugh, pics, jokes, links to you tube, anything that you think will put a smile back on my face.
Thanks
x

Well these pictures made me laugh, if ya can't beat em and all that lol
Sorry to hear about your pet.. had to send me 20 year old moggy to cat heaven last month so know how you feel, I don't know how to post links on here yet, but can pm you some jokes someone else sent me if you want!
Re driving... sorry no sympathy there... got knocked off my motorbike by someone not following the speed limit!
Anyhow, hope you feel better, let me know if you want me to pm the jokes
Miss K
Can't think of anything to cheer you up but :therethere: for you for losing your wee dog x

Considering the suffering of the thousands in China and Burma and countless other hell-zones across the World, your problems are really are not up there.
So you got a fine for not obeying a road traffic sign? Pay up and live with it.
Your dog was put down? Sad I know but the prognosis was not not good anyway and you did the kindest thing by saving it and you even more suffering.
You sound a little selfish in your suffering as only someone who has been fined for speeding and who has lost a pet can be. rolleyes
I suggest you check out what is happening in the rest of the World...It might put your lot into some kind of perspective.
Well done De_Sade, you've come up trumps again. Your post stinks. In fact it's disgraceful. Your post is just another dig at Plum which goes way back and you know it.
Basically what you're implying is that NO ONE is allowed to feel pain because of what's going elsewhere in the world?
Plum's pain is relative to him today and it doesn't mean he hasn't thought of people elsewhere - you don't know what he's feeling, butt out with your stupid remarks ffs.

Absolutely spot on.
De Sade, I hope you never come in here and complain about any problems in your life because I suspect your reply to Plum will be quoted right back at you.
In fact, maybe you should go back and edit your previous threads (how you feel about petrol prices etc) to say

How's about this, Plum:
Hiya plum Your day was bad and you have every right to feel crap De-sade is obviously not having a good daty either his post is wrong. ~Blimey i can feel bad if its raining it matters not if theres a famine in the Congo. If I worried about such big things all the time 24/7 i couldn't get up in the morning.
As for making you feel better hmmm only thing i can think of to say is that I was talking to my two boys about getting and taking some food down the park earlier this morning and the one boy said oh cool are we eating BBW today then
Secretly i thought hmmm not an altogether bad idea
Well plum.........
Not much I can say on the speeding fine front (I am expecting one myself from last weekend) but to pay up and be more attentive redface
With regards to your pet......It hurts like hell when we lose a pet whom we have loved and cared for for so long...
They ask so little and give so much.....
Just remember the good times with a smile on your face...
Oh.............Ignore the knockers as well
Considering the suffering of the thousands in China and Burma and countless other hell-zones across the World, your problems are really are not up there.
They are not Plum's fault and there is little he can do about them.
So you got a fine for not obeying a road traffic sign? Pay up and live with it.
I'm sure he does'nt need you to point that out to him.
Your dog was put down? Sad I know but the prognosis was not not good anyway and you did the kindest thing by saving it and you even more suffering.
Oh I wish you had been around to comfort me like this when my two huskys were put down because of cancer. I would have felt heaps better straight away.

You sound a little selfish FULL STOP!!!

I'm sure Plum must wish he could make it all better DeSade as we all do sometimes, but he can't so live with it and leave him alone.
Disclaimer: I don't know Plum, have never met him and not even spoken to him before in a post I don't think, but I HATE unfairness...no matter who it's directed at mad evil
Plum- we've had a bloody awful- and I mean awful year and a half here. However major our problems have been, I can still find it within myself to empathise with someone who is in the midst of pain. That's irrespective of it being a child in China mourning for their family, or a 14 year old girl who has just had their heart broken for the first time.
My neighbour had her elderly GSD put down yesterday too- and sent round all the unused food for our dog as the reminder was too painful.
I hope your pain eases soon.
:therethere: For the loss of your pooch....
and
smackbottom for speeding!
You wanted cheering up? Well, hopefully this thread has worked in a peculiar way. You're now reminded that there are people worse off than you, although perhaps not in the way you thought wink
Thanks all (well nearly all), loved the royals link lol and thanks for the PM's.
Didn't expect to read some of the above though, oh well each to their own.

And as a footnote why on Earth would I try to solicit any kind of sympathetic response from anyone in the forum? What is SH now? A counselling website..? rolleyes

No, but I believe wholeheartedly that it is a place where people make some attempt to be be civilised to each other. Sympathy is a natural human response to another's suffering - however small that suffering may seem in the 'great scheme of things'.
There is no need to be nasty to another person, or to belittle their concerns. Like my Mum always taught me - "if you can't say anything nice, SHURRUP".
OK, I hold my hand up - and deeply aplogise for using the usual shortcut of using the word 'sympathy' where 'empathy' is more accurate. The reason I do is that most people are not clear of the difference and the rest of us are not so pedantic (or have such a weak argument) that we need to score points by pointing it out.

Actually Sympathy is NOT a natural human response to suffering - empathy is. Sympathy is a hollow pat on the back, it is a greedy listening ear to the woes of the World, it creates nothing but pity (usually self-pity) and helps no-one...
There is no need to be nasty to another person,

Not being nasty, being honest and expressing an opinion which the last time I checked the constitution of the UK is still not illegal.
or to belittle their concerns. Like my Mum always taught me - "if you can't say anything nice, SHURRUP".
Ooh, that's told me... redface rolleyes lol

Wrong. Sympathy is very much a human response to people's suffering, have you ever sent a sympathy card to someone who's bereaved??
Empathy is an acknowledgment to something without totally knowing what is being felt. I haven't lost a pet through death but I can totally empathise with Fabio because I can understand his pain. Sympathy is more about totally being in tune with someones pain and having an affinity with that person.
I'd quit if I were you De-Sade.

Sorry, but the last time I checked the S in SH stood for Swinging not Sympathy. rolleyes
We all have shit days, every one of us...It's just that most of us don't come on here and whinge about it every time.
As for JayMar, Cherrytree and Firelizard . . . Hey, you are entitled to your opinions and I am entitled to mine.
In my opinion PlumFabio or FabioPlum should spend a day in the local hospice or children's oncology ward helping out which would certainly put his speeding ticket and dead pet (which by his own admission was dying - painfully - anyway) into perspective.

rotflmao and sympathy!
Why.
Why would someone want to hurt someone else.
Why not just stay out of the thread.
The OP wasn't asking for anything except something to make him smile again.
I just don't get it.
Thats right- I remember, he, along with all the other singles, is "defective" in some way. rolleyes
My point, the one you sidestepped, was that you do not come here exclusively to swing. I can't recall the op starting threads to garner support for teachers or lorry drivers. Neither can I recall him sniping at you for doing so.
So why do you feel the need to belittle him?
And my apologies if I cut you to the quick. Have a Kleenex. rolleyes
Well I have also had a crap day, and I just might have to take it out on your lot
So pack it in, the lot of you, or smackbottom will be dished out.

I never said that all singles are defective. There is a quote from an internet dating guide in my sig that quite a few singles have spat their dummies out about...(can't think why, but I guess there's a reason) but they aren't my words...And anyway PlumFabio isn't single. He's married. He's married to a woman who he loves and respects so much he cheats on her behind her back...His own admission, not mine

Belittle is such a pejorative term. I didn't want to belittle the OP. I was merely pointing out that I along with quite a few others are getting HEARTILY SICK of his sympathy shag threads.
And my apologies if I cut you to the quick. Have a Kleenex. rolleyes
I don't think I'll bother if it's all the same with you, I don't know where it's been

aha... I knew it wouldn't be long before you reminded the forum about Plum's 'choice' in life.
and the only place her kleenex has been is wiping up your slavva.
eagerly awaits another tender response from Lord De_Sade....
Ok, you cant play nice even though you have been asked, so post locked till you all stop the silly bickering.
