Is anyone else watching this programme on CH5? It's about guys who form relationships with lifelife (?) dolls, some to the exclusion of having real relationships.
I'd consider myself quite broad minded and certainly tolerant of most fetishes but this has me seriously creeped out.
I'd be interested in hearing other views.

Guys and Dolls CH5
Just been watching it - but have come out now it's gone to a break - showing a clip coming up about em smelling ....... and then cleaning em out with a bottle brush :shock: :scared: I only glanced at it, cos was playing a game on puter - but had the tip of that bottle brush turned orange :shock:

It's not the doll thing that's creeped me out - I mean if it's your fancy, then those dolls are a lot more real looking than the blow-up things........ it's the way they relate to em that is so creepy

Absolutely, the end one where he invited his real life girlfriend to a birthday party where tw of the dolls sat with party hats on. It was the attachment that they had to them.
I must admit to really wanting a hot shower now, I feel like my skin is crawling.

I was so tragic, I could totally "relate" to what these guys were doing and it was compelling watching but also made me seriously creeped out, parts of it made me feel sick to my stomach. I would question the mental health of a couple of them, and others the loneliness in their lives was so apparent, but they treated them exactly like women, and some of the behaviour could be seen as perverse.

Yeh it did come across as tragic in places, the lonliness that came across with a couple of em was just awful - that topped with what came across as a very low self esteem, made it tragic. Basically saying that they were too old and ugly to get a real girlfriend etc, one of em was only 39!!!
In fact when it's put like that it doesn't sound half as creepy as it looked on telly - I s'pose the creepy factor came in cos you just can't fully relate to that mentality, the way they treated/talked about the dolls

Utterly fascinating that a small boy was talking about his past life, in detail (they gather from the 1960s/70s) - they went to the place where quite a few of the things the boy said were true.... was incredible, quite comforting in a way (for me anyway lol) Quote by Missy

Me too, which is where the skeptical comes out in me - did they only show the bits that were accurate (and only a couple of things that didn't match up), or was there more that didn't match up at all.
But the stuff that did match was incredible - as well as his reaction to the place when he visited. Very quiet and reserved, as opposed to the hyper and excited I was expecting ...... cos of course it didn't have the family there which might've completed the boys image, without it, the house was just a shell, with other peoples stuff in, felt really sorry for him then.

Absolutely, I kept thinking about my own son (similar age) and wondering how I would react and feel. His reaction to the house was heartbreaking, and at the same time interesting as afterwards it was claimed he was more peaceful and needed to chatter about Barra less.

Yeah, we watched this last night too, kinda left me with a creeped-out feeling, but like already mentioned, a feeling of being sorry for the guys who felt this was possibly their only way of 'female company' that they were ever likely to have.

My sympathies also went to the real girlfiend of the guy who had too many to count. cant even joke about this one as i found it first 2 mins funny then sad then just disturbing................I didnt like it and I understand sex toys but this was substitution for real people and relationships and life in general. If you have to take photos of dolls to be your family and friends then these people may actually need help.
