To be honest I'd never really thought about pubic grooming until I was early 30's and the g/f of the time asked whether I liked her shaved or hairy. One thing led to another & she gave me the once over with her Bic and apart from the odd 'no point shaving 'cos no buggers gonna see them' times of life I've always kept my balls shaved & the rest trimmed. Just feels nice having hairless balls, especially when someone gorgeous has them in her mouth!!! 
I prefer a bloke to be at least trimmed down below, shaved also works for me ;)
The au natrel look is a bit of a turn off, but always a good excuse to get em in the shower ;)
Hairy chests I can take or leave but my fave has got to be hairy bellies!! :twisted: I have no idea why, but gents (only!!) feel free to pm me your hairy belly pics.. it won't get you a shag but it will put a smile on my face

I'm sure there is a saying for it,
but not being familiar with recent terminology,
i do shave the undercarriage, and the shaft, but leave the 'top bit' alone as it connects to that thread that comes down from the chest, over the stomach, splits around the belly button, rejoins into the line and defuses into the pubis.

For what it's worth, I shave my shaft and also around the base of it (both above and below). The rest of the pubic area I trim. Although I am not a teddy bear nor, to quote Sassy-Seren, do I "look like an excapee from Bristol zoo" I do have a hairy chest and moderately hairy tummy. I did once shave my tummy as well as the pubic area and Sappho nearly wet herself 
She pointed out that it looked a bit silly having a smooth tummy when the rest of me was hairy and it also didn't look like 'me'
Then, of course, it started to grow back. OMG!! :shock: :shock: The itching!! :shock:
So now I stick to a light trim of the surrounding area and completely shave the areas that a lady might want to suck (sorry to be crude, but that's what it amounts to).
