I`ve been having terrible problems with my browser windows. They`ve been sticking, crashing, taking forever to load, if at all, and when swapping windows they`ve been taking an age to disappear in order to let the new windows show.......fragments of the old windows have been sticking. For the past two days I have checked for viruses, spyware, improved my virtual memory, tried net connection tools, changed my screen settings, tried tweakers, cleaners the lot, but no improvement, even though I have found problems and fixed them (no viruses, but a spyware that may as well have been). I even set IE back to default. Evetually I had to admit defeat and tried a new browser, Mozillla Firefox, and it`s working beautifully.......except for one thing, the `go back button isn`t working.
Any ideas?

Just hit backspace.
Worth a shot. Works for me.
Also check out the support forums for Firefox, there should be a link in the bookmark toolbar just below the buttons if not it's
SH isn't your homepage??

The only IE6 "bug" that I can vaguely recall that causes this problem (asuming that oher programs dont suffer the same window refresh problem) is having the cache (temp internet folder) set to big... especially on win98.
Also old or buggy graphics drivers cause this fault, especially with IE due to the way it maps graphics onto the canvas.... My IE windows slows something cronic if there are a lot of animation gifs on a page... but then again a 1600/1200 display takes a lot to re-draw each time a picture changes.
Everyone whos ever seen my screen always says "how on earth can you work on that... the text is so small" But I'm used to it so a 1024/768 monitor just seems big and bulky with not enough real estate for sometimes up to 30 windows open at a time, lol.
No, not yet, leave me in my dream -state for at least another three hours, please!
