I have been reading some of the posts for a while in here now and seem to get the feeling that there is either a very strong clique or some incredibly insecure people contributing. Far be it from me to ask people to reduce the frequency of their comments but I think that attempts at being constuctive towards the structure of peoples' advertisements have an underlying tone of unfounded superiority.
Let's face it. Not everyone is to everyones liking but please give people a bit of slack and let them post away happy in the knowledge that nobody will ever reply.
I expect I'll get flamed in some way for posting this but remember for every type of person there is someone matched.
Have a good day and I hope nobody is offended by this but perhaps those who I am referring to will tone it down a little.

Well personally I think that the intervention of the MODS is wonderful.
After a while the mindless contributions of some cease to be funny!!! Apart from anything else anything that debases and cheapens anyone deserves to be BINNED.
Too many men that access this site look at it as a cheaper way to get sex than finding a prostitute and consequently treat the ladies on this site with unacceptable disrespect.

This site may sometimes appear like it has a clique but I can assure you that there isn't one.
You need to take into account that some of the people on here have been using the site for a long time and a lot have met and become personal friends. That doesn't make a clique though, it just means that there is an established community on here.
To the best of my knowledge that community is very receptive to newcomers as i'm sure many of the people who have joined the site over the past few months will testify. It doesn't take much effort to join in, give it a go.
If you think I'm displaying an air of superiority it isn't intended. It's just that some of us put a lot of time and effort in helping to keep the site running the way it is and we can get a bit frustrated at times.

Back in December I too was looking from the outside in wondering if the tight gang of people I saw on here would let an outsider in.....
....and I'm still here, realising now I'm this side of the fence that there really is no clique here at all. It's simply a bunch of people who are genuine, friendly and humourous and share interests both inside and outside of the swinging scene.
I'd say the best analogy was for somebody to go into a pub with this many people in and see how it looks - there will be the same groups of people that know each other already and those venturing in for the first time. Stand at the bar a while, maybe get into a natter about music, sport or even sex and see how easily things move from there. Next thing you know you're in the darts team.........
As for the mods - show me a forum without caring mods (that as well as being members theselves also do their job diligently) and I'll show you a free-for-all that people will leave for somwhere else. So many newbies seem to ignore the good advice, previous posts and easily found guidelines and as such do indeed leave themselves open to maybe a little ribbing. As a member here I value their input and control........
Oh, by the way "M", I note no flaming from any of us yet - maybe we're not so bad after all ?
Well goodness me! ( nt that I'm that good) I have been accused of trying to create controvosy by sensational advertising. perhaps I'll apply for that job in PR yet! Well I thank you all for your comments and and justifications you thought necessary although it is your room and none should be required.
As for The Helper who complemented me on my picture I have to say thanks but a trip down the opticians might me in order!
I never had any idea the forums was so well subscribed! I wish you all well and I will see you in the chat room.

Mark... we can all take a wee bit of criticism... and we aren't as uppity with new faces and you seem to think. We do get pissed off with certain types who try to variously flaunt the rules, abuse us or have no regard for the hours we put in to keep Swinging Heaven what it is.
And at the end of the day, Swinging Heaven isn't a Goverment scheme, financial intitiative OR a democratic gathering of souls.... It's a lab-rat - a spare server that Mark (the site owner) thought it might be fun to set something like this up with. Mark chose US MODS to keep folks in check... whose gonna argue with that? (Before you answer, would you like to know how many buttons I've got? :twisted: :twisted: )
On the whole, folks like the way we do things.
