Sadly after much use it gained a hole in the front of it and eventually I had to throw it away and haven't bought a replacement yet. I ought to I felt rather classy and sexy in it.

I thought of this thread while on the train today.
I was chatting up this very attractive white haired granny who had this great box which was either an enormous cake or a hat. So I led the conversation on and she offered to get the hat out to show me which I duly accepted. It was a very splendid hat.
I then helped her down to her next train and in saying goodbye to her kissed her on the cheek.
I must help out grannies on trains more often but normally I'm too mad rushing to work

Don't get me started on glasses. Two bloody years I've had these varifocals and I still can't get used to the bloody things. I can't use them on the computer as my screen is too big, have to crick my neck and ended up with a numb arm!

Hats are good alter egos, like shoes. I have a collection of hats I seldom wear unless fancy dress comes along. I have warm hats for necessity in winter and a broad rimmed outback style hat for naked activities outdoors in the summer!

Ahhh two memories here, one being in France in May 1992 with my dads radio cranked upto full volume in order to pick up a faint radio one signal and hearing Simon, Diane and Rod (what a great team they were) getting up and walking out on it being voted the chartbeater (or whatever it was called the thing on friday mornings).
The other was downloading the b side song the other day (I have a shaped picture disc record of Ernie).
Have to confess Ive never seen a tranny on a train, well not out in the fens anyway.

I love hats, have a couple of big leather Jakaru type bush hats and a few others. They keep the rain off and shelter the sun when it occasionally shines.
