Whilst We were delighted with the smoke free atmosphere in the bar area we noticed an appreciably smaller crowd in Chameleons last week-end which was the first time we had been since early in the Spring. The afternoon was particularly quieter than before but even the normally very busy Saturday night felt a bit quieter.
Don't know if the effect is the smoking ban but has anyone else noticed a negative - or better - positive effect on their local Club?
Are you busier? Quieter? or no noticeable effect?
Sadly I've noticed a drop in customers since the smoking ban, and the 'atmophere' has gone out of some pubs.
It may pick up of course but at the moment some pubs look a bit sad.
sad
well we think they r not as busy as normal
and when winter sets in the one who do gp out side say they will not bother unless they can smoke out of the cold,,,,,,
chams bar area is almost dead since the smoking ban, everyone is outside on the roof garden even the none smokers  i have been to a few clubs since the smoking ban and none have, in my experiance, got any busier since then ban, even the bar staff in a few clubs have commented on how quiet it is now, a few none smokers i know said how good it would be with the smoke free air but i have noticed a few in the smoking area as thats where most people are
have to say there doesn't seem to be any difference at all at Eureka since the smoking ban came into force. (I've quit btw and have reached day 19 with no suicidal urges!!! lol)
I was in Cham`s last Friday night and there seemed to be alot of people in, and the smokeless air in there was so much better than the previous time I went.
