Got your self into a situation in a chat room where you thought what was a bit of a laugh actually be serious and by then be so far down the path felt unable to pull out of it so carry on until you finally got the courage to say no allbe it later on and not when you should have.
Its just happened to me and now i feel stupid and unable to go in the room again for some time sad

Nope, just put it down to experience and don't do it again.
I was chatting with a girl in a room a while back, half jokingly said 'come round' , she half jokingly agreed, which went on for about half an hour or so more in the chat, and eventually ended up in her hubbie driving her round another half hour later, much to den's surprise!!!!!!!
A good night was had by all, so you never know how you're joke may turn out.....
wink
Goose just explain you thought it was a giggle and move on.
I'm sure it isn't as bad as you think :therethere:
Please don't stop using the chatrooms because of it kiss
Who is to know at what point you decided to say no? We all have the right to change our minds about things and only you know you decided long before you said it.
thanks all for the straight answers. I have changed my profile text to reflect my cock up.
I thought it might be a good topic tho so decided to post it less the detail.

Goose......you worry to much!!

. . . but don't try to change that wink
I'm not sure whether this will "transfer" to chatroom use, but .. . . . .
A rough rule of thumb I sometimes use is that (almost) anything said in public is all part of the bollox and banter - including flirting; to anylevel. It's when the conversation moves to private that I allow myself the fantasy that it's become more than that.
That could be private by PM, whisper (???)/email or in person.
But as PoloLady says, we all have the right . . . . and - nobody know the exact timing of choices
Crikey, if all my balls ups stopped me from carrying on I'd never do anything! rolleyes
My thoughts are that there are a few people in the chatrooms that take it all much too seriously - what dambuster said basically - if you go up a level to a more personal level THENS the time to mind your p's and q's a bit.
please, dont stop chatting. The chat rooms are a more interesting place to visit with you in them . kiss

Thank you babes i aint stopping.
All is better now and thanks for the replies all
I admit I have a habit of phrasing in such away that there are at least two meaning. It has taken me where I did not intend to go. It does give others a chance to go where they would not if the question was more open.
The habit has also meant that I have at least once had to back water like hell. redface
Sometime there is truth in a jest. The thing about banta and double meaning is we can all claim ' I can not think what you mean.'
Having said all that, it can get out of control and the best thing to do then is back out or say what you mean.
..or you could say only what you mean, but I save that for serious matters.
