Has anyone here changed their life completely? Could be career, where they live but basically would have involved the thought, the decision, then the action. I have done this once so far in my life. I took my son on holiday just myself and him and never went back. Therefore changing my whole life (career, living arrangements and marital status). I imagine I will do another life change in the future, but that will be another story. Love FIRE xx
I've lost 3 stones and gone from a total couch potato to a runner & martial artist, and yesterday I started training as a fitness insructor with a view to setting up my own classes- potentially life changing, and VERY scary! You do not wanna see me in lycra!

Yes- Moved countries to work/live (as an adult cos it didn't count earlier) Changed career Went to university as a mature student Lost 6 stone Put back on 4 stone Just a year ago changed work again, not as radically as first time but enough to make a difference to me emotionally, mentally and financially! Research degree started Just a year decided to remove myself from a close family member - hard decison and not made easily but the effects are amazing, again emotionally and mentally Mmmmmmmmm - life is journey. I'm enjoying the ride lately. :P
No i havent done this yet though i'm getting really impatient to do so. I need to wait just 18 months when i have no more house to pay for and loans to pay off then i'm going to take a big envelope into HR at work saying im off i cant stand this place no more. Then my plans are to buy a few lawn mowers and other garden stuff put an ad in the paper for general garden maintenence and cutt grass the rest of my life. OR Work for my mate building skateboard parks and park equipment. I allready do the graphical representations for their bids on skate park contracts OR Both
I used to live in Manchester and was in a signed band, went on tour and it seemed like every day was a party. I woke up one morning and decided to give it all up as the situation I was in wasn't really what motivated me to be a musician. I just love music. I now have a 'proper' job, I'm doing a maths degree, I go to bed a decent time every night and I'm totally sober. And I've never been happier!
Struggled with business imposed debt for ten years then wen't bankrupt - now working for a company not myself - happier, more secure, but poorer (when it was good IT WAS GOOD!!!!!) and a little less motivated although I do put more into "home" than I used to. Overall a great thing and so long as you have no visible assets I have to recommend it.

certainly one major change, ten years ago. the fact that Im alive (much to the detriment of others) is testement to the fact that the change was successful. sorry folks :!:
A few years ago I left my boring old job and went into nursing. Now I'm doing a job I never thought I could do and for the first time in my life, I feel like I achieve something good. My current job also brought me together with my best mate and soulmate. We may not be a couple in the usual sense of the word but I could never imagine my life without him there and I love him more than I've ever loved any other man.
