Heart or head

Do you make decisions with your heart or head?
The reason I ask is we've ended buying an 8 week old Westie pup after only going to the breeders to choose one with / for my mother in law.
He's called Basil and is bloody gorgeous BUT my head said no and er indoors heart said yes........and she won :-(
Feel sorry for our old dog (who's terminally ill) too as he hates him so far.
I've not always made decisions with my head, sometimes my old fella too lol

depends on how close i am to the decision being made and how it will effect me
i have a bad habit though of letting my heart decide when my head should of decided and vise versa rolleyes

The heart always rules the head i think... Takes a cold person to always rule with the head alone.... I know I can't even when I should. Good or bad!!

I make decisions with my intuition. I'm terrible for following it. Maybe that's classed as common sense therefore I must use my head?

Sadly, Westies do not have the best of temperaments - the breed would be one of my last choices for a dog.
I hope you get on OK.

I always decide with my heart ......... but I am not sure that's right, when there are so many people in the world who don't actually appear to have a heart!
I am talking bollox now ........... but I've had a bad day at work ............. and on my 3rd Brandy already

Forget the heart or head - I keep letting my stomach make the decisions. Hence lunchtime chips were followed by a Twix. Anyone got any tricks for shutting it up?

Last time i got involved with a *guy* I went with my heart and I ended up being very deeply hurt, gave the *guy* so many chances, forgave him so many things and I learnt something from it. He was a complete and utter twat confused

:? Next time i shall use me head... and go with it was telling me all along..
As for animals... bless em, when i was in Australia last year I went to just about every dog pound in Victoria with my sister who was looking for a puppy. They were so many beagles and boxers, I wanted to take them all home with me.
Oh and my last dog, a beagle was called Basil!! Great choice of name!

If its lightweight and relatively unimportant. Then I tend to go the emotional route I guess. If however its important then I go with the head.
The more important or grave an issue the more i tend to use cold logic to resolve or tend to a matter. It is rare I panic. The two things that however do make me really sweat and want to run and hide are. Hospitals I nearly pass out just walking through the doors and the noises of any ICU type machines can bring on almost hysteria if i cant get away. The other is housefires. These aren't matters I have a choice over though. i guess they are phobias so a matter of head dunno
