That was foreigner and a dman fine song too.
I saw Les McKeowns Bay City Rollers in Concert last November. He had been at the bottle and it was not the greatest set in the history of mankind but I was the only bloke surrounded by about two hundred women on the dancefloor and as they couldn't grab Les they grabbed me instead (ahh happy days.) Mind you later that night when the woman who was dancing very very close to me and invited me back to her chalet along with others, flew into the bedroom never to be seen again ten minutes after my arrival. I was left out in the lounge (No change there then).

There you go Helen, that will take you months to track that one down. It's very very obscure song but I have seen it performed in concert and the Lyricist noted that I was " A keen student of the lyrics" ie I was sat in the front row singing along.

Just an update.....I'm still awake!! LoL......
And I have plenty of PM's to keep me occupied and a wicked Challenge from Rogerthedragon which will probably take me most of the night but I'll post the results of it on this thread in the morning......

I'm still awake....it's now and I'm getting over my exhaustion.....
I've done all my challenges, thank you everybody for keeping me occupied!! kiss

I've got one challenge left and it's a killer......and it deserves its own thread because it's amazing!!! So I'll post it in the morning....
Work is going really well and there's the possibility that I might get a couple of hours sleep tonight, but we'll see how it goes....

Wonderful song! I have a few Pete Atkin and Clive James LPs from way back around the early seventies - "Beware of the Beautiful Stranger is from "Secret Drinker" I think. I especially like the lines:

Thanks guys....I've just woken up (about twenty minutes ago) so I managed about 4 and a half hours sleep...which isn't bad and I should still make enough money today and tomorrow......

Well actually in a lot of other people's opinions too. I have to say I've had almost 20 emails pm's from people agreeing with me. However, since two of the mods did not think it was advertising, they have all declined to post in agreement with me for fear of being berated.
Me? I don't give a toss, so said what I thought :?
I often work into the small hours with my job, but I don't go telling everyone how much I earn and how skint I am and need to earn so much before a certain point :roll:
If Helen had said she had a long nights work ahead and need some hugs, fair enough, but it went beyond that in lots of people's opinions.
Incidentally, three of the emails I have received are from 2 other forum mods and one chatroom op, so make of that what you will :?

It didn't even occur to me that I was advertising and I still don't think that I was.......I didn't put the number and I didn't ask people to call me to give me more money!!! And besides, I don't even have the number that people would need to call me on!!! So there is no way I was advertising at all......
In hindsight I probably didn't need to put that I was skint but I thought that I would let people know WHY I had to work all night and then all day today.....it was just giving out information and that's all.
I really needed help last night and even if other Mods and Regulars don't agree with what I did, I have had about 25 PM's from people sending hugs and support and that's enough for me......

I'm impressed. It's actually from their first album called "Beware of the Beautiful Stranger"
The earrings are hell verse goes onto say "If they'd put up a booster not far from this pitch, I could screen you your life, to the very last twitch, but I can't even get the lone ranger, one last word from the beatiful stranger"
If anyone is after the cd I can pm them the website for who released it on CD.
