help on chatroom access

i wonder if you can help me?
Recent controversy over the chatroom got me thinking I should try it out a bit more.
Strangely, my user id wouldn't let me on - the one I registered and used a couple of times last week.
On the one hand I get the message 'Your nickname must be registered....'
On the the other hand, when I attempt to re-register, it confirms what I thought 'this nick is registered and cannot be registered again'
registering a completely differently name doesn't get me a verification email, though somehow I managed to access the chatroom and participate without it earlier this evening. not now though. banghead

so, have I simply forgotten my password?
who do I go for for help?

If registering a new name doesn't generate an activation email, maybe there is a limit (i.e. one) on how many nicks you can register to a particular addy. Maybe if you try registering using another email address?

if you used the nickname blueis
you are registered but not activated ..... the general reason for this is that the email from SH went directly to your junk mail.
you can if you type in your nickname and no password enter the network and then you can either type /join #starchat for assistance in getting another validation number or if you think you would rather start again you can type /join #shhelp and if anyone is in there they will take you through the registration process.
a few notes....
if you dont activate because say you wrote the wrong email address then the activation number become invalid if not used after a certain time ( i think 12 days )
If you havn't used your nickname in 30 days it will de-activate...
you cannot use bnc.
you maybe able to log in during the day without being a member or having a password...this is due to one of two reasons.... Either the ops have taken the lock off the room and opened the doors to all ...... usually only in the day till 9pm. and the other reason ends up with the same result. once the door is locked only members can get in and them that are in as guests will be enticed to join or leave.

remember type your nick and enter the network
then type...
/ns register YourEmailAddress Password
you need a valid email address and you need to check the junk mail too and a password you wont forget
so thats..
/nsREGISTEREmailAddressPassword
when you get the email type this..
/ns ACTIVATE number
the number being the one in the email.
then you just type this..
/join #swingingheaven
or just relog in and after that use the nick and password you've registered.
