HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!

My pc won't allow me to go problem started last October after I installed Norton Anti-virus.I unistalled it but my pc has been bolloxed ever 't used since but I put it all back together about an hour laptop works fine on the same wireless network as is obvious since I am writing this on it.I wonder if anyone has any helpful suggestions as to what I can do to resolve this tried restore systen loads of times but that doesn't have run all my anti-spyware and adware programmes and disc cleaners.I don't have an anti-virus on at the moment since I can't get a complete techno dummy I am completely stumped now.

I assume that you have tried the route of using windows add/remove programs? I have a link to Symantec's site for the Norton uninstall tool :

I might be wrong but, Could you not wipe the whole computer clean ( ) backing up important files first. Then reinstalling everything apart from Norton which a lot of people really don't like and I too think is crap. There are loads of free antivirus software out there like Avast ( ) . And firewalls too Zonealaram is the most popuar (free) ( ) do a google search and i'm sure you find other alternatives and advice.

Easy way to idenify the actual problem is to use msn's (if you have it) trouble shooter, tools>> options>>> conections >>>> start trouble shooter biggrin

works ever time for me which is when my wireless router goes tits up about ooooh every fookin hour banghead

But seriously it'll tell you whats at fault IP addy, fire wall etc then use your working machine to google the problem and to find the solution :D
