I'm after getting a couple of tattoos but I can't find exactly what I want. I have ideas but no matter how many shops or websites I look at, I can't find the right one. Now the most important one I want is for the middle of my back, not lower back but more where my bra strap sits. So it can be large but only if it is fine, mainly black but I do want a touch of purple in there somewhere. I suppose I want something a bit 'girlie' So, does anyone have any ideas or can recommend any shops I can go and look at in the midlands? Maybe pm me with any links
firstly.. come and see my tattoos.. that should inspire you :twisted: then, have this in italics or scroll type writing along your back:- 'splendid was 'ere' it will look super.
I suggest you track down a real tattoo artist not a high street painter. He or she should be able to help you find just what you are looking for. If you are going to be providing your own art work it will need to be the highest quality you can lay your hands on. The inks these days are very good, its just hard to find somebody with the skills to use them well. Middletons site has quite a few examples of what can be achieved.
Dawnie, maybe try and get yourself to one of the following type of things:-
It may pay you too as you can peruse so many different sles and ideas in one place. Also you can just enjoy your day with such a mass variety of people. How cool is that!

Try what I just did. Honest. Absent mindedly reeling from the front of a guy I once "knew" being incredibly full on at the offset after linking up on "a social networking site" after years. Pick up a green felt tip (really) from the desk, hold the end whilst using the "ribbed" lid end to scratch my back. Remove pen, some time later minus lid. :doh: I now have a very naff- but original- design on my back.

i have no idea where abouts in the midlands you are dawnie , but you could do a lot worse than going to a shop called " Tatt 2 " in Wordsley ( By the cat pub) Its owned by a friend of mine Nick who has been tattooing me for the last 20 yrs on and off, he is really good at the freehand delicate line stuff that you seem to want and is very nice and approachable even if he looks like he eats babies for breakfast lol. If you are close enough i would highly recommend him Fruity XXX

it took me years b4 i got my first tattoo coz i never knew wot i wanted then i found the perfect lady tattooist ever, who advised me to go home and do a collage of all the different things i liked and then bring it in to her after 6 weeks she had it perfectlly drawen up for me and did it all freehand it isnt finished yet, but when it is i know it will be exactlly as i want it. maybe try doing that hope this helps xxx
