Hi Everyone
Just wondering if anyone has heard of Hidradenitis Suppurativa (H.S.)????
It is basically a low immune system and the tendency to get lots of boils and abcesses....and also been extremely tired all the time. I think that's what I have got and I'm just trying to get some information about it....
If anyone on here has it or has heard of it can you answer this thread or PM me please!!
Helen you need to get checked out matey. just before Xmas I had a fainting fit followed by some of your symptoms and also a rash with later a problem with light sensitivity.
it ended up being meningitis and I spent 7 days in Hospital
its very common at the moment but treatment is good
hope your better soon
go to see a Dr rather asking for advice is the best idea.
get well soon

Personally I'd disagree with you, but that's got more to do with my own experiences and prejudices than logic or reason (don't ask me for the logical thing to do with the medical profession, you probably wouldn't like me after I'd told you).
Get well soon Helen, I'll do some research and see what I can come up with in the way of useful info.

im sure a medical expert (DR) is the best judge rather than asking advice form people on the internet .

You assume they're experts rather than by and large being a bunch of arrogant, patronising, and barely-competent idiots. The good ones are merely tainted by association with the average, which is very average. Having studied alongside medical students for three years and spent two years as a healthcare professional, I've met quite a few, the number who I'd trust to have anything to do with me could be counted on the fingers of one hand.

sounds like to me you have had a bad personal experience with a DR , so if you get ill now do you look on the internet for advice or go to see a specialist .
google or DR i know which one i would choose and so would 99% of most people
anyhow helen get well soon and go to see your DR
.

In Management then I assume = Money wasters the lot.
Nearly ALL Dr's are good Dr's but badly managed by so called professionals.

Helen, people with this complaint have their own website:

Hope you soon feel better.

You would assume wrong, and I don't class NHS managers as healthcare professionals, they're overhead like managers everywhere.
Edited because I actually have some relevant links:
- my first choice for information on any condition are people who actually have it, so patient support and campaigning groups are top of the list.
- reasonably technical as it's intended for medics, but if you've got any sort of healthcare background it should be fairly intelligible.
I may add more links later, my DNS server is playing up so I'm having trouble finding the sites to check them out.
For the record, I HAVE been to see my Doctor and he agrees with me that this is what I have got.....but I wanted to see if anyone on here has the same condition and might be able to give me some advice....
thanks MikeNorth and DP for your advice....much appreciated, I already had that Website Listed and have been looking at it......
